I was first diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer in 2000 when I was 45. I had a lumpectomy and radiation. 17 years later in 2017 it came back. (Both times in right breast) I had a double mastectomy and 8 cancerous lymph nodes removed. Stage 3. I had chemo and radiation. In August 2018, I had a biopsy on a lump in my lower spine (L4). Positive for cancer so Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. I also have a spot on my left hip and a 4cm spot in my lungs. I am taking Ibrance, Faslodex, and Xgeva. I have CT scans every 3 months. So far, no new tumors and everything is stable.

Not easy to go through the stages of breast cancer like we do. but then 'Stable' becomes a lovely word
Let's hope and pray for many, many more stable scans❤️
It sounds like they have the right combination of meds so we will hope with you for many more scans that are stable or even no cancer detected! Elaine
Stable is a beautiful state to be in. I hope you are this way for long long time🙏🏻
Welcome to a wonderful site. You will find info, encouragement and support here from women who know what it is to have mbc.
I'm so sorry you have this dx but you have found a good place to discuss any and all topics that may come up with mbc and our meds.
I pray for continued stable results in your scans.
Love,
Marianne
Greetings sister/warrrrrrrrrrior I am praying for continued great, and greater results from your continued tests, and scans. You, and your loved must be jumping for joy. Yayyyyy C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-E XoXoXo
I had the same treatment for 19 months with no issues, however, this January PET scan showed some activity, therefore with two docs opinions, they feel a change was necessary and I will be taking Verzenio along with Tamoxifen. Hoping it works going forward! Hope you continue to do well! Kathy
