Hsg test

So finally I got sense out my GP surgery who have agreed to refer me for this test (long story but I had a battle on my hands). No guarantees they will agree to investigations though.

I've requested the test as I'm nearly 39 and not once been pregnant. Prior to my OH's vasectomy he fathered two children during his marriage without any problems.

Although I have regular periods and all my blood tests, scans and amh have been awesome for my age I've felt from a young age (my teens) that I couldnt have children. To this day, I can't explain why I always used to say this before I was even at an age to be sexually active.

Am I going mad thinking there could actually be something underlying like blocked tubes? I'm literally convinced there's something wrong with me despite all the tests I've had. No idea where it'll leave me if I'm right. Everyone around me thinks I'm looking for answers after my first FET with a brilliant embryo failed and that there's nothing wrong with me. I just want to be sure though. I don't have pcos or endometriosis. By all accounts, everything indicates that I'm normal and the reason for failed natural conception is poor count and motility following VR.

Maybe I am looking for answers. My periods stopped for 15 years+ when I was severely underweight. For the last 2-3 years I've been a healthy bmi, periods restored and no lasting damage. My sensible head tells me this is why I've been pregnant before.

Has anyone had this test? Did it give you the answers you were looking for? Did you have any symptoms of blocked tubes? All replies gratefully received x

Hi Jessy, I didn’t have a HSG but had a HyCoSy test which I think is similar. My tubes were fine but the clinic did this before my AMH level was checked, which showed I was into menopause. The test I had was not painful at all and there was no bleeding after. 🤞 you get some answers

Thanks for the reply. Maybe it's just the quality of my eggs. I just don't know. Thanks for the info. My FSh is 4.4 and amh 45.2. I'm not going to be able to have the test for a while as I'm currently in cycle 2. X
