I finished 2 rounds of low dose CheMo which did not help. I have one kidney so I really need to take care of it. I was in renal failure in July for a few days but back to “normal” now. I also had a mild stroke over Christmas and almost back to “normal” PSA is up to 213 so I need to decide whether

Prolactin
I have been meaning to tackle prolactin (PRL) for at least a dozen years, but there are hundreds of PCa papers and who has the time? It's an important topic that is rarely mentioned. A recent paper (Jan 13, 2003 - my 75th birthday, so how could I ignore it?) has this in the intro (note - PRLR is the

My husband is in excruciating pain from the numerous pca bone mets on the spine, shoulder, chest and is now doing 20 IMRT sessions for palliative pain relief. We have done several chemo combination over the past 5yrs but cancer just kept progressing. This is his first ever radiation since diagnosis

Night spasms
I had bowel cancer in May last year and had a hemi-colectomy that was straight forward and needed no further treatment. Nine weeks after that operation I was told that they had found another cancer on the bowel they removed. This turned out to be Low grade serous ovarian cancer. I had a Radical hysterectomy

Hi lovely ladies, After reading about Beth’s amazing travels in New Zealand, I hope to encourage you to follow your dreams with travel when you can. I am from the UK, and was crushed when I had to cancel my planned silver wedding anniversary trip to New England twice, the first time because of the pandemic

New drug approved by the FDA in November.
Just wanted to post that a new drug in the battle against ovarian cancer has been approved by the FDA under the name Elahere . My terrific oncologist discussed it with me l during my last appointment. As always , there is a catch , it is based on your having a certain protein present for it to work

Hello Everyone, just stopping by to say hello. I was diagnosed with stage 3C high grade serous ovarian cancer way back in September 2007. I remember searching online to see if I could find any long term survivors of this cancer and now I am that person. So I’m just posting here today in the hope that

Tooth pulled yesterday afternoon.
I called my regular dentist yesterday morning and he got me in that afternoon. Tooth pulled using Novocain and nitrous. Tooth came out easily and in plenty of time for infection to clear and for me to get back on chemo late next week. Thanks for all your help, ladies. Sashay

Strange 😱foot and hand side effects while on capecitabine/Xeloda.
I am a POC (son schooled me saying it means person of color — millennials!). Well I am a Black woman with MBC. I have had unusual horrible experiences while on Xeloda! Instead of getting blisters and burns on feet and hands the bottom of my feet are darkened turning the color black ⚫️and so are my hands

Does each remission get shorter?
My first recurrence has been confirmed after one year of remission. I think I'll be given more chemo. I know some women have had many recurrences, each one treated as well as possible. If you achieve a second, or third, or fourth remission, is it usually for a shorter period each time? Thanks, all.
