Had anyone is dealing or have dealt with lymphomedema in your scrotum

The scrotum had been swelled for a few weeks, I noticed after the last chemo was canceled due to not working. Did anyone get medication that helped to stop or reduce the swelling ? I did find underwear that has a pouch that does help but still a pain in the butt. Any suggestions will be appreciated and if I find a treatment that works will it go away, have had doxetal, zegtia, xdandi that did not work and the last chemo of jevanta test stopped working. The oncologist is planning a liver biopsy to see what type of prostate cancer we are dealing with. He is checking as I am also of trials with Plivicto, hopefully the production will increase.

I think you might be asking if anyone has lymphadema in their scrotum and not lymphoma ( a form of cancer). I have lymphadema in my pelvis, scrotum and penis from significant lymph node disease in my right pelvic sidewall and right inguinal region. There are lymphadema compression garments which are custom fit but I have not availed my self to them because I am dealing with bilateral lower extremity lymphadema as well right leg worse than left. You might benefit from seeing a lymphadema specialist whom I would think your medical oncologist can refer you. I am responding to docetaxel chemotherapy so I am hoping that obstructive lymph node disease will shrink involved lymph nodes. Best to you, particularly finding an effective treatment for your PCa.

Thank you, there is no medication but if we can get a plan for chemo or other meds to treat the cancer then they will go down. Did they say if the chemo works and the edema goes away can they remove the testis so it might not happen again ? The oncologist is referring me to Sloan Kettering cancer center for a possible treatment plan or trials for pluvicto, I live in Central NY and they are 5 hours away, driving would be hard since my roommate does not drive so I guess the train is an option. I hope since I am from out of town they would give me help in finding my way there. I have heard they have high marks, too bad the cancer center here cannot do the same. I am having a liver biopsy soon to determine the type of prostate cancer.

No surgical plans. I think even if docetaxel is effective in reducing lymph node disease I will probably need maintenance garments and self lymphadema massage to lower extremities. The swollen scrotum doesn't bother me and because the testes were atrophied from 10 years of ADT the additional size is not impactful. BTW I have been treated at MSK since 2/2013 and I often take the Long Island Railroad and the subway. Best to you

It is possible that it could be something simple like a hydrocele or epididymitis. Have they checked for those?

They did an ultrasound, and he will see it on the 28th, I have some questions and some articles for him and some trials to look at. He had put in a referral to Sloan Kettering in New York City for their trial on plivicto and have a second opinion. They might have more treatments available there than here in Central New York. I also found some that I want him to look at as a possible backup, still have to travel but it is what it is. He is doing a liver biopsy so that is more information for him and others.
