Surgical Menopause without hrt
Hi, I'm looking for information on getting through surgical menopause without hrt as I am having ovaries/fallopian tubes removed due to brca1. I am unable to take hrt due to having blood clot caused by Contraception injection. Any good advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks Sarah

Hello I wondered if anyone has been diagnosed with this. After many laps I had another one a week or so and surgeon found endo on and suspects within the small. Bowel. He did say surgery on small bowel is more tricky than that on the larger bowel. I do have an appointment with him next week and I do

How twisted is that to be excited about getting a date for surgery! But after 9 and a half months of pain I'm ready. The hospital had an opening sooner than I was expecting. So next Tuesday, after it being 11 years since my last surgery I don't know what I could be in for, maybe it's nothing, maybe it

My latest misjudgement
felt very strange after a few hours of taking first Digoxin. Was in a brain-fog which continued to get worse and I felt ill. Decided to stop it as felt I was being poisoned. At next appointment saw different cardiologist (never see same one) He doubled dose of Bisoprolol 10mg and I became a zombie, no

Told I had ovarian cancer but after major surgery it was severe endometriosis
Hi After being admitted to hospital late November with suspected gallstones it was discovered that I had blood clot in lung and then told I had ovarian cysts. My ca125 count was over 6000 and after mri and ct and pet scan and oncologist appointments who all said it was ovarian cancer. Had a radical

Cushing's Syndrome?
So I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia two years ago-- a diagnosis of elimination after spending the last 15+ years trying to get answers for my pain and other symptoms. Things had been going along ok. Not great, but I was managing. Until last week I had seen my wife's surgeon (surgical specialties,

Ovary grows back after oophorectomy
Anyone else had this happen? Left ovary removed on 16 April, ultrasound on 31 October shows an ovary there. Apparently it is rare but can happen if a few cells are left behind (and how hard would it be to remove all cells without a microscope) but more likely for ladies with lots of adhesions. I thought

Mirena in menopause...endo pain escalating
So, I'm off to the GP tomorrow morning to have a review about my increasing pain levels. I had surgery (supposed to be a Hyst) to remove my remaining ovary two years ago but they couldn't remove my cervix and uterus as I have extensive adhesions to my bowel, so surgeon did what he could and also replaced

Oophorectomy/Ovary Removal
I had my uterus removed 8 1/2 years ago but kept both ovaries. Because of complications I am going to have both ovaries removed as soon as the surgery scheduler calls me to set a date, time, and location. Anyone go through after a partial hysterectomy? Being I no longer have a uterus, will I bleed

Fluid build up after Lymph node removal
Hi, has anyone experienced fluid build up post surgery? I have had hard swelling and pain for almost three months now. Three Doctors have assured me , no problem, however upon my insistence, I had a CT scan which revealed fluid in the abdomen. If this is a lymphatic blockage, could cause me big problems

How do you make this decision?
Preparing my thoughts on paper for when I meet with the Gynecologist in less that two weeks. I have already had the hysterectomy. But suspect with the return of pain in my back/hips/buttocks that has been unresponsive to cortisone injections, that the return of my endometriosis of the uterosacral ligaments

severe groin pain
Hi all. This is my second post/question. I've had AV node ablation 5 days ago. Yesterday I went out to see my GP. Following this I went to the shops. When I got home I felt ok. I then decided to lie down and when I got up for dinner I've felt severe groin and leg pain. I took paracetamol but didn't seem

Post pacemaker implant and AV node ablation
Hi all! I am new to this forum. I think I have always had atrial fibrillation but it has become prominent last year where I became more aware of my symptoms. I've been on a number of medications such as Bisoprolol, Digoxin and Warfarin but it seems the AF is not being controlled so I was then referred

An interesting non-endo stor
I thought I would give you all an update because I have mentioned my daughter on here before and we have now had the operation with Mr T; all was not as it seemed. My daughter had a brown discharge for over a year and during this time she went to the doctors who prescribed the pill....there's a surprise
