Af struggle
I have been on the rollercoaster ride of afib since 2004. I was at work and went into cardiac arrest. It took four people doing CPR for 28 minutes to revive me. Since then I have gone through 5 defibrillators and four ablations. I did have seven years when I it was controlled really well with Rythmol

Surgical menopause?
Hello ladies, I'm interested to hear please how quickly you became aware of menopause symptoms after removal of ovaries. I'm 48, my first ovary was removed in 2015 with a big dermoid, and my remaining ovary was removed a week ago along with a large endometrioma. Prior to surgery I'd been on goserelin

Surgical menopause?
Hi There, Im back again after 4yrs. Thought having my big fibroids removed I would be ok but over the past 2yrs, the little ones have started to grow and be a nuisance. This lead Me to be put on decapeptil..faking my body into menopause so the fibroids would naturally shrink. A yr later and they shrunk

Endo removal & possibl bowel surgery....anyone had it done??
Hi ladies not been on in a while as i've been put at the botton of the list by accident so waited along time for my surgery to come around. That & the fact i need two surgeons to do my op, has proven tricky to get a op date. I'm going in for stage 4 endo removal & possible bowel resection. Maybe a stoma

Endo pain or something different? When should I ask my Dr for help?
I've had a pain in my lower right abdomen for over a week now. I have Stage IV Endometriosis and was treated with a laparoscopy last yr followed by a right oopherectomy. How long does it take for a surgical menopause to show symptoms?
I had a TLH and BSO nearly 4 weeks ago. I wondered how soon I might start to feel the first signs of menopause? Has anyone else had ovaries removed recently and can share any timescales, expectations and advice? My consultant has said I must not taken any HRT remedies containing hormones for a year.

Advice please
Any advice on an oophorectomy. I'm only twenty and been put on the list. Im a bit concerned of being so young. I've also been told they don't freeze eggs on the NHS. — feeling confused.

Thanks to you all for oopherectomy advice
Good evening, Had my BSO op on Thursday. Got home yesterday. The biggest challenge was getting over the anaesthetic. As a result had to spend the night in hospital because I just could not wake up! Both the anaesthetist and the consultant said that I was very well informed about the procedure, pain relief
