Switching from Abi to Enza?
He, of course, takes
Lupron
alongside. However, Abiraterone has resulted in some side effects, the major one being increase in blood sugar levels. My father has become pre-diabetic now and the doctor has advised to switch to Enzalutamide as it has fewer side effects.

From a Gleason 9 to a clean CT scan in 18 mos.
Treatment was
Lupron
infusions every three mos., abiriterone, anastrozole, and 5 mg. prednisone. I was watching for the scary side effects and when they became evident about a month ago, we stopped taking them and notified his oncologist. What WE were doing independently: 1.

Firmagon vs Lupron vs Orgovyxx
Is there any difference in cost/effectiveness? My urologist wanted me to start hormone therapy with Firmagon, but my radiation oncologist wanted me to go on Orgovyxx instead...any thoughts? Thank you!

Intermittent ADT
I was given a 3 month
Lupron
shot which reduces my PSA to 0.24 ug/l. I'm considering going on IADT....6 months of ADT followed by 6 months break and repeat. Anyone tried such a treatment...what are the results? Thanks for any advice.

Future after Erleada/Lupron
I've been taking Erleada/
Lupron
for almost four years with few side effects (for which I'm grateful). I'm aware that my results have been very good and I wasn't looking for advice regarding a change in my care....I just wanted to have a second doctor to go to when things change for the worse.

Little Update
Did Casodex for 30 days and then got first
Lupron
shot about a month ago. Do you agree that is not that alarming or what do you think of this news? **1st appt with MO on the 18th so excited about that (that is weird to say!) because hopefully I can get on the triplet right away**

My trajectory after a "vacation" and a new metastasis
My backgound briefly (full details in Profile): aggressive form, BRCA2 mutation, RP in 2017, then 39 sessions of radiation, and 3 yrs of
Lupron
. All at Smilow Cancer Hospital. As a result, my PSA was undetectable for 2.5 years, and in 9/21 I was put on a "vacation" from treatment.

My husband began with it &
Lupron
in January. PSA was 14 and 6 months later only down to 4.3 He does not have a prostate … Journey began in 2017. All clear at time of surgery. Biochemical Recurrence In 6 months after surgery. Fighting ever since.😫 He has rare and aggressive CDK12 mutation.

PSA suppression
In the end, I decided to skip Abi, Enza &
Lupron
and go back in time to DES (diethylstilbestrol). It's a synthetic estrogen that maintains bone health even while estradiol falls to zero. And it has anti-PCa properties.

Running in circles
(he has never had an injury there) then a couple of months later they said it was cancer but didn't seem to be growing. that the radiation to the T9 and his
Lupron
shots must be helping. I still soo much pain in the neck I had a CT scan a couple of weeks ago showed the T9 and S1.

Does testosterone fluctuate after ADT ends?
My treatment (Radiation/
Lupron
/Abirateron/Prednisone) ended on May 2. Gradually my testosterone began to come back. In August it was at 3 nmol/L and in Oct 6 it was 11 nmol/L so it is on a upward trend as can be expected.

Husband has passed
He seemed to be doing quite well with ADT treatment
Lupron
/ea 3 months, plus bone shot, and Abiraderone 250 mg daily for 2 1/2 yrs. Had all the terrible side effects you all experience. On no medication other than that. No other illnesses.

Options when Docetaxel stops working
He went on
Lupron
and Abiraterone which took his PSA to .03 and kept it low until Oct 2022. It went to 8.9 and his doctor put him on Docetaxel chemo. His PSA has continued to rise and his oncologist has kept him on this chemo. His PSA is now 48.

Lupron
two weeks later.

Any ideas for hot flashes? Getting worse.
Went on
Lupron
and Abi for 2 years and 39 radiation treatments. All drug treatment ended in April of this year. Hot flashed started after a few months on
Lupron
and were bearable. In last few months, they have increased to the point that they are very frequent and interfering with sleep.

who out there has been on Lupron and abiraterone?
who out there has been on
Lupron
and abiraterone? Who is the longest survivor out there in terms of not transitioning to castrate resistant. I just started treatment 6/15/23 and am trying to hit it with additional therapies as my PSA declines. Vit c. Melatonin. Ivermectin.
