First Appointment re Stem Cell Transplant
This week I have my first appointment with a stem cell transplant specialist. I haven't made up my mind yet and I'm seeing this as a fact finding appointment. Low Oxygen Levels
On 24 hour oxygen and on
lung
transplant
list. Trying to stay fit to help with the post operative recovery but the slightest activity now makes my SAT’s plummet. Despite using the oxygen, my levels dropped to 55% when I got dressed very slowly this morning.

Is weight loss possible post transplant while on immunosuppressants?
I am almost 4 months post kidney transplant and I have gained over 15 kg. I have been exercising consistently and eating healthy for over 6 weeks now but my weight won’t budge at all. I have read that immunosuppressants can really mess with one’s metabolism and fat burning, and being 49 and likely

Spinal Fusion-break Identified while being on the Lung Transplant List.
Good evening all, I have been listed on the
Lung
Transplant
List for over 2 1/2 years now. They noticed right at the start of my evaluation that I had the start of osteoporosis which they put down to years of taking prednisolone. Even though I had this they were still happy to list me.

Moffitt Researchers Develop Non-invasive Approach to Measure Biomarker Levels, Predict Outcomes in Lung Cancer Patients
Tests that analyze biomarkers are used during cancer management to guide treatment and provide information about patient prognosis. Liver Transplant assessment? any experience.. Fluid in pleural cavity ? Blood clot ?
I think this means he has fluid in his
lung
cavity, would this disqualify him from
transplant
? in addition to ascites of course, but that is expected symptom. Does anyone here have experience with liver assessment and if the above health issues effect the outcome?
