My rheumatologist is not happy with my sodium level. Can anyone tell me if taking Movicol affects this?

Pulmicort turbohaler
I was prescribed a Pulmicort turbohaler last week by my gp after sending two weeks of peak flow readings. When you use it can you taste anything as I don’t know whether I’m actually using it properly , I have an appointment with the asthma nurse Friday but just thought I’d ask on here . Thank you x

Superior Limbic Keratoconjunctivitis
Went to see my Consultant Ophthalmologist today (great chap who sorted my floaters, which were the size of icebergs, a couple of years ago and said that I would need cataracts sorted sooner or later so elected to do them at the same time as the floaters and all on the NHS – perfect) as I have some discomfort

Peak flow
Hi, I need some advice please. I’ve never suffered with Asthma till just over a year ago when I discovered that I had irrational of the airways. Anyway, my problem is that my peak flow meter readings are always between 150 and 200. I have no cough, no feeling of tightness in my chest, but nevertheless

Why Do I Keep Getting Pleurisy ?
Why do I keep getting pleurisy ? I don't smoke , never had , no history of asthma - I was hospitalised in June and given an x-ray confirming it was in the bottom of my left lung and I was given six steroid pills and two sessions on a nebuliser . Then my GP said I had asthma . I'm a woodwind player !

Can anyone recommend....
some kind of in-run fuelling that isn't based on sugar, or carbohydrates? I know there are some low-carb runners here, what do you do? I know we are meant to be able to run on fresh air when we're fat adapted but I've not reached that holy grail...

Help! Trepidation setting in…
Having not run since I was 11 years old (I remember that day well….) I have decided that I need to get off of my bottom and take my health more seriously. Having largely ignored insulin dependent diabetes since my diagnosis, due to the fact that I am invincible, having slowly and blatantly increased

Steroid tapering
I have been given more steroids from the dr. I am not sure when to start tapering the dose. I had 12 days at 40mg. I’m on day 4 of 30mg. My next asthma review is the 14th December. I’m feeling a bit better but still waking a couple of times with a night coughing fit. When I go outside it’s sets

Teeth stuff
Has anybody noticed changes to their teeth since going low carb? I'm almost 12 months in to very low carb for health reasons. No processed food. No added sugars. No grains. No potatoes. No vegetable seed oils. Lots of veg. Small amounts of seasonal fruit. I had my first dental checkup and clean and for

Landmark study shows simple salt swap could prevent millions of deaths each year
Replacing table salt with a reduced-sodium, added-potassium ‘salt substitute’ significantly reduces rates of stroke, heart attack and death, according to the results of one of the largest dietary intervention studies ever conducted. Presented at a ‘hotline session’ at the European Society of Cardiology

When flecainide is given as a bonus intravenously. Is it always with dextrose?
Does anyone know if flecainide is given with anything else.I was given it with dextrose 2 days ago. I looked it up, it is made from corn starch. I am highly allergic. I became ill immediately and now can’t get out of bed. The doctor ( who knew about my allergies) said it could only be given with dextrose

Sodium Butyrate: Conflicting Studies
So I read one study from 2021 that said Sodium Butyrate was good for PD, lowered inflammation, and improved symptoms and then read another from 2020 that said Sodium Butyrate increases inflammation and makes PD symptoms worse. I have e-mailed both teams for an explanation. I put the abstracts side by
