Movicol contains sodium
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you need 3 or more sachets daily for a prolonged period, especially if you have been advised to follow a low salt (sodium) diet.
Movicol contains 186.87 mg sodium (main component of cooking/table salt) per sachet. This is equivalent to 9.3% of the recommended maximum daily dietary intake of sodium for an adult.

I'm interested in Laxido salt content Dx
I thought so . I do not add salt to anything if I can help it. D
Is it high or low? Movicol has sodium in it because of it induces loose stools you can lose a lot of sodium that way. You shouldn't use such products long term without medical advice.
Low as I understand it.
Have you had a lot of diarrhoea?
My last reading was 128. I have had no diarrhoea but I can be very constipated. Consequently I have taken to having a teaspoon of Movicol in the morning. There are four or five teaspoons to a sachet.
I think someone needs to have a bit of an investigate - that really is low. Have you been drinking a lot of water because of the constipation? What dose of pred are you on now?
I am on 3mg of predisolone at the moment. I have a lot of stress with my disabled OH and the Consultant and I have agreed on Monday to leave this as it is. Yes I do drink water and start the morning off with a glass when I get up. Years ago when I was in my twenties I caught Hepatitis A and in consequence to this day I have to be careful how much fat I eat.
