Inspiration
This is a photo of me after 9 months on ADT, age 70. I’ve always tried to stay in good shape. Jack LaLane inspired me as a kid in the early 1960’s. Later inspired by Larry Scott, Arnold, Lou and others. I built muscle naturally, no steroids. As my testosterone naturally decreased in my late 50’

Light headed.
Twice this week I have felt slightly dizzy and lightheaded. My sodium levels are usually low. I'm waiting to go back for another test. I wonder if this could be causing my symptoms. I feel drained too. Usually, I am fine. It makes me really worried thinking I might have a stroke or heart attack

night out flare up
sitting in a lovely hotel room with hubby, due to see a show in 3 hrs and having a bad flare up. Lots of trapped wind, pain and dashing to the loo. Taken an Imodium but feel washed out now. Supposed to be having a nice meal before show, but now scared to eat, and not sure if I can make show either😭.

sodium update
I have just rung my Gp re. Hyponatremia Test .. Receptionist said Dr. Has seen results of sodium test and sees no reason for further tests as ‘ I have been borderline for YEARS’. I asked when first test was done . Seems it was only last year. May 22. 134. Sep22. 133. July 23. 130.

Alcohol - I Did a Silly Thing
Yesterday to celebrate my daughters 50th birthday, my son in law chartered a beautiful boat for the afternoon - 3hrs. It was wonderful and from the time we left the harbour the four of us were plied with nice things to eat and wine. Now I'd already had a drink before boarding the boat and my wine consumption

Diet?
I now realise that many if not all, who have hypothyroidism, also have gut problems. When I first started trying to inform myself about all this, I got into a stalemate regarding diet - I’d always loved broccoli, cabbage, swede mash, kimchi etc, not to excess but whenever I felt like having them. But

Imodium
Hello, does anyone find it helpful to take Imodium to prevent diarrhoea if going out? Or would you recommend taking anything else as a preventative?

December and flare ups
I have suffered with chronic IBS D for over twenty years and I always seem to get worse this time of year, but I have no idea why! I have tried many different anti depressants to try to alleviate the problem, and I am currently on citalopram which doesn’t seem to do anything. I am resorting to taking

Covid question
I’ve avoided Covid up until now. My partner and I picked it up in Cuba. Started with what we thought was food poisoning, the dreaded diarrhea. It’s now been 14 days. We’ve had chills, fevers, fatigue and daily diarrhea. I’m at the final three months of V treatment so was advised to start the antiviral

I am currently at the CRPC stage of my disease. About 7 years since diagnosis. Started with ADT and Docetaxel. Was able to be castrate sensitive for 4.5 years. Tried to add Abiraterone and it failed after a couple of months. Had Radium 223 and it was okay but did nothing to the PSA. Cancer kept progressing

My husband has passed.
On Wednesday 17th April Ronnie suffered a brain hemorrhage in the late afternoon at home. He died in hospital in the early hours of Thursday 18th. He had just turned 71. He was diagnosed in January 2020. I believe that Radium 223 precipitated his death. I have written before here on his experiences

How much Gaviscon to take?
Having endured angina type symptoms for more than a year, yesterday I tried Gaviscon for the first time at the suggestion of my GP. I immediately feel a lot better. So now I want to ask everybody about taking Gaviscon. Is it OK to continue taking it indefinitely every day ? The instructions say 10
