Peripheral neuropathy and burning feet
Saw some comments a few days ago, and wanted to remind everyone to carefully read the literature that comes with all your drugs. For a couple of years, I have had intense burning feet, especially in the evenings, and assumed it just went with the neuropathy. Not so! After studying all my medicine literature

Hi, I am an old time poster
Hi, I was a member of the dilated cardiomyopathy forum at BHF. I signed up there 10 years ago when my mother was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and left bundle branch block. There used to be a thread called "how long?". I wanted to post this there, but here I am. So, my 65 year old mother suddenly

I have Afib and high blood pressure, I was just in the hospital for the AFIB. I was put on SOTALOL and taken off Carvedilol and Diltiazem, I also am still taking Losartan, Eliquis, Atorvastatin and 81mg aspirin. Will these meds keep my blood pressure and Afib under control?

Hi. I have recently been told that I have subclinical Hypothyroidism with high antibodies. Plus :- B12 196 (197-771) Folate 2.1 (2.0-16.7) Ferritin 60.9 (13-150) The Endocrinologist suggested with my vegetarian diet that I ask my GP for a vitamin B12 injection with these results but the GP doesn't want

Started on thyroxine 2 weeks ago and still feel like crap. Would love to hear stories of people who feel better!
I have had hypo symptoms for nigh on 20 years (since 1st pregnancy) so I was so happy to finally be treated but I feel more tired than ever. I got a copy of my last bloods and see that my ferritin is 22, iron levels are well below range and I have very high markers for inflammation which explains why

How can I prevent an ulcer developing?
Hi all, I have CREST and have had Raynaud's for about 8 years now. I have had ulcers on my lower legs, and one on my index finger tip (excruciating when it was developing, much worse than on the legs). The finger one has almost healed (had it for nearly 5 months), but is still producing some discharge

A newbie with worries about dental treatment!
Hi all - my name is Liz and I am quite new to this forum and also to AF so up to now I have been lurking in the background hoovering up all the advice and information. Today I managed to floss half a tooth out, leaving just the other half with its filling - good news is that this tooth has a root canal

Metoprolol action
When I was diagnosed with atrial flutter in February of 2016, my GP prescribed Metoprolol 25 mg with the words that it did three things: address the heart rate, the heart rhythm, and the blood pressure. At the time, I was also taking for blood pressure 25 mg Hydrochlorothiazide and Ramipril 5 mg, but
