Hello. I discovered I have high blood pressure in March this year. I tried Ramipril 2.5mg but I noticed tinnitus developing, plus it wasn’t effective so I changed to amlodipine 5mg, not effective, increased dose to 10mg, ankles started swelling plus palpitations, plus not hugely effective, so switched

My daughter
My daughter was diagnosed at age 14 with MPGN. She is now almost 23. A few years ago after a 2nd kidney biopsy, her diagnosis was changed to C3g. She was on lisinopril for years and in medical remission but developed a severe cough as a reaction to the lisinopril. She was switched to losartan. She

I’m going to see Professor Denton! 😊
Hi there. I saw my Rheumatologist today for a medication review. I started taking nifedipine (for Raynauds) but had to stop because it made me feel very unwell. They then started me on 25mg losartan increasing to 50mg and then 75mg with no effect, so I have now been prescribed Sildenafil 25mg - 50mg

Desperately trying to figure out what’s going on with me...
Hi everyone, I’m wondering if it could be a side effect or allergic reaction from a medication or maybe Lupus? I just recently realized when I take my blood pressure medicine Losartan that it makes my skin feel like it’s on fire and I broke out in hives. I have been to my GP and he just put me on Bactrim

Hello...I'm a newbie here. Seeking Tinnitus help.
Hello all. I found your site after doing a search for Tinnitus on the NRAS page for Rheumatoid Arthritis/Rheumatoid Disease. I have had Tinnitus since December 2017/January 2018. I am seeing an ENT, but have only had one appointment so far. I am scheduled for a hearing test at my next appointment.

Drug interaction
I am now totally confused. I have agonising back pain. A new, to me, GP has just told me it is fine to take Ibuprofen! I had already told her I was on Rivaraxaban, Dogoxin and Losartan. I looked it up on line and it says Ibuprofen is definitely a no no if on those heart drugs. Any answers?

I'm new here with hypothyroid symptoms & unhelpful dr
Hi, I would appreciate any advise on my symptoms and test results. In Jan 2017 I had half of my thyroid removed due to large 4.5cm diameter lump which was benign. Before this my TSH was .75 mu/L (.34 - 5.6). My test results are now: TSH 4.07 mIU/L (.27 - 4.2), Free thyroxine 14.1 (pmol/L 12 - 22),

Confused and need help please
Hello everyone, my story is a long one I'm afraid so I'll be as brief as possible. I was diagnosed with GCA in December 2012 after a 15 week headache on the left side. Started on 60mgs of prednisolone and reduced fairly successfully to around 10mgs within a year after the introduction of methotrexate
