Is there any help for health anxiety?
I'm new to this page. I have had anxiety and panic disorder for almost 8 years. Initially it was so bad that I could barely function. I spent most of the time looking for answers. Why is this happening? What can I do to stop it? How long will it last? I've sought help from countless doctors and

Glutamate
I recently followed a link on here which led me to a forum on ME. 'Phoenix rising.me' I've tried to find the article since without success but I remember the word glutamate and the phrase 'wired but tired' came up. It suggested krill oil as it 'crosses the brain barrier, unlike fish oil'. It also suggested

Getting started on Gluten-Free (GF)
Hi Recently diagnosed with Coeliac's disease I am now on a GF diet; at least probably. I'm looking for confirmation that my medication Actavis (now, think it was something else before) Levothyroxine and Atorvastatin is GF. Can anyone help please? Also, can I go further and ask if anyone has any gluten

What helps me during flares...
I thought I'd take this opportunity to share what helps me with this community. When I have a bad canker sore outbreak there are usually 2-4 directly on my tonsils. Tonsillitis is essentially inflammation and irritation so I think I get that too on top of a flare. When I get mouth ulcers like that..

Any New News on Xolair? How essential oils have helped me be calmer.
Hi there I have just been reading some posts about xolar. I am 62 years old and have been an asthma sufferer all of my life. I'm getting my first jab tomorrow but I am apprehensive to say the least because of the frightening stories I have read. I am 62 and because of being poorly most of my life,

PVC's and PAC's Drastically Reduced/Stopped after years of terror and diminished life quality....? I'm not sure, but this is what I did..
Well, over the past couple of weeks my life has turned around for the positive and I cannot believe it!!!! I am so happy, but don't want to get too excited until more time has passed. After literally starting to plan my demise (that's right...having up to 13,000 + PVC's and hundreds of PAC's and not

IBS: Advice about travel care, and about other people ...
Hi I am new to the Forum. One is, is there anything you can take when you are travelling to reduce the risk of having a

Lasting relief from the Low Chemical Diet
Diet News. Sorry if you are tired of hearing about this. As you know I have been lucky to get relief through diets. I adopted the FODMAP diet and got (say) 80% relief. Tried the Low Chemical diet and have had 100% relief when I have stuck to it. In both diets I have had trouble expanding the types of

Ground Flaxseed, Flaxsee Oil & Flaxseed Oil.
This is a follow-on from my Fred Kummerow post - in response to some questions. Flaxseed contains two elements that might affect PCa progression: lignans that might impede it & alpha-linolenic acid [ALA] that might accelerate it. A tablespoon of flaxseed oil contails a lot of ALA with little or none

Fred Kummerow & Flaxseed oil.
Fred Kummerov, biochemist, died on Wednesday at 102 [1]. At age 99, frustrated by the continued presence of trans fats in the food supply, he sued the FDA. This led to a ban, which comes into effect next year - 60 years after his research on trans fats began. But I was interested to see his paper on

Is increasing Levo dose a good idea?
Hi, I have been taking 50mcg of levothyroxine for about 8 weeks. I went back to my GP after a thryoid function blood test 2 weeks ago. I didn't ask for specific numbers but she told me my results were now normal. But I haven't been feeling any better - still exhausted all the time, unexplained pain

I've defeated my loss of levodopa benefit that happens after eating protein
To start with, an update, I am back on the MP, no Sinemet at least unless I hit another obstacle unforeseen. I hurt myself today eating some delicioooous bbq beef. It was soon after getting my dopamine right and I had been feeling pretty good actually. The beef protein began to rapidly bring me down
