Following a flare up of UC (5 years in remission no problems) my boyfriend had an emergency subtotal colectomy and now has an ileostomy. Hadn't had any build up or preparation for this op so all a big shock. Had been in hospital for 2 weeks before operation so had lost a lot of weight and was very

Potentially a major setback
She said that if the condition is still progressing, and hasn't been cured by the drugs, I will have to have a
lobectomy
(I will lose a third of my right lung).

How do you know where is the best cancer center to treat you?
I had a right lower
lobectomy
7-12-16 . Currently doing chemo in my 3rd session right now, 1 more to go and then they want to to do radiation of the brain. I want to get a second opinion so bad. But when I go on computer I can't stay foced enough. Guess it's chemo brain. Don't know what yo do.

Hello, I just wanted to post my latest blood results and get some feedback. I have a feeling that the labs drawn by my ENT are not accurate. Here is the timeline of my lab results. On 9/2/16 TSH = 0.958 uIU/mL (0.450-4.500) T4 = 8.3 ug/dL (4.5-12.0) FT4 = 1.27 ng/dL (0.82-1.77) FT3 = 3.2 pg/mL

NSCLC STAGE 2a - HAD LOBECTOMY - DOCTORS SAY NO CHEMO NEEDED. IS THIS USUAL? RELIEVED BUT WORRIED TOO.
I had a lower left
LOBECTOMY
plus removal of about 14 lymphs two weeks ago. I was told that each "lymph station/site" contains a "string" of lymph nodes - like 2-7 and that they removed from 14 sites.

Strange blood levels...
As many of you know, I recently had a
lobectomy
, 6 weeks ago. Well yesterday I had my thyroid levels checked and they were as follows: I had a protein shake 3 hours prior, but nothing else for 10 hours prior. I didn't know my PCD was going to run labs.

Test result interpretation please
My post
lobectomy
TSH level was within range but my blood test today ( in France so got the results online within 2 hours!) show TSH of 8,03 mUI/l and T4 of 9.1 pg/ml. Should I be taking some medication? Feel a bit tired and my thyroid feels a bit achey. Thanks1

Anxiety, Hot Flashes, Palpitations. Advice needed
Ok, it's now been 29 days since my thyroid
lobectomy
and I am experiencing some horrible symptoms now. Anxiety/shaky throughout the day/night, getting very little sleep. I am starting to sweat and get hot flashes as well. Heart palpitations occur some during the day, but a lot while I sleep.

New Girl Here!
Lobectomy
was July 12, 2016. Was wondering why do I still have numbing burning pain? I can barely touch my right breast, the pain continues to the middle of my back. Is the normal? If so how long before this feeling is gone? Also if i talk to much i get a annoying cough.

22 Days post op (Thyroid Lobectomy)
Hello my friends, I just thought I'd check in and update you on my current status. It's been just over 3 weeks since my surgery, and for the most part I am doing ok. I still seem to be experiencing some mild anxiety, especially at night, which causes insomnia. I have not had a good nights sleep in
