4-th line of chemo
Hello brave ladies. I would appreciate your experience concerning chemo protocol: Gemzar+ Oxaliplatine. Unefortunately and despite the inhibitor PARP (NIraparib) taken from 7 weeks now, my marker goes up rapidly and I will be facing the 4-th round of chemo called "gemox". At the same time I've developped

Hi there, I'm in ireland here. I've compensated cirrhosis for the last four years. I've been very lucky that, I've very few symptoms, as hard going they are. But I cannot find travel insurance anywhere. Not even a high cost plan. Any UK companies anyone can recommend. We are just doing a 1.5 hr flight

Milk thistle - anything to be aware of?
A recent blood panel came back with slightly raised liver enzymes (marginally above the range), for reasons I am looking into. I have read about the benefits of milk thistle supplementation with respect to helping with both liver and thyroid matters. On the whole, the consensus seems to be that it

How is Chronic hepatic encephalopathy diagnosed?
My dad is in hospital with confusion (he's slowly gaining lucidness), where he is being treated for a UTI, and they have told him he has chronic hepatic encephalopathy, and this level of confusion is not reversible. I'm just wondering how this gets diagnosed? He was in hospital over the new year, and

Alfuzosin doesn't make a difference!
I have been taking Alfuzosin for years, but getting a little dizzy, so I went off for 3 weeks. I did not notice any difference in my urination after I went off, OR when I went back on. What is going on? Should I just go off this drug or is it doing something beneficial but unseen? Why would some

Friend has high LFTs
Hi, My friend has high AST (150), ALT (115) and GGT (415). Thry have high blood pressure too. They've stopped drinking alcohol but are now terrified to go to the doctor and get scan results and want to ignore it. Will this definitely be bad news?

Why you should NOT supplement high-dose D3
https://youtu.be/GsomcvdT7Po This random video I came across deserves more views. If you're baffled about how to get enough vitamin D when not exposed to regular sunlight, try supplementing raw cold-pressed cod liver oil instead along with vitamin K. https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/cod-liver-oil

Hi all. Today is the tenth anniversary of my liver transplant and, whilst I still have ups and downs with my health, I have enjoyed the abundance of life that that amazing gift promised to bring. Liver pains and itchiness
Hello. I developed fatty liver 5 years ago but reduced my drinking that was high and changed my diet and after six months it went. One cancer apparently not enough!
