Little laughter 😂
Go in this morning for pain pump refill at 8 and then pt is coming over at 10 o’clock. Usually don’t have doctors appointments this early but all they had. Need to set up feeding tube replacement next. Did anyone watch the slaughter last night, Georgia vs TCU, wow ! Rain/snow mix here today, slick roads

ARLD or NARLD?
I have recently been diagnosed with a fatty liver. I am a type 2 diabetic and have been drinking far too much. I have been told to cut back drastically on my drinking and lose at least a stone in weight. But can they tell whether its ARLD or NARLD - or is it always ARLD if you are a heavy drinker? The

Private Fibroscan West Yorkshire?
I have recently been diagnosed with a fatty liver and now moderating my alcohol intake. I am to have a follow up blood test in 6 months but wondered if I could get a private fibroscan for my own use somewhere close to Huddersfield? I have had an ultrasound and blood tests on the NHS in my diagnosis but

He confirmed the enlargement (not massive so far) and informed me it's one of the side effects of spironolactone buy could also be caused due to cirrhosis itself. Post COVID issues
Hi ,I'm 57 with Cirrhosis (diagnosed 2015 after being informed a blood test in 2007 was pos 'Hep C' with v/high viral count/chronic). In 07/22 I was imobilised with Covid which for 3 weeks absolutely knocked me for 6. 08/22 my GP felt a LFT was needed as I wasn't getting any better. Results were enough

Fluid restrictions ASCITES
My serum sodium is 137 mmol/L. Completely in normal range (133-146). I am taking spironolactone 300mg and furosemide 80mg. My question is how much do I need to restrict fluid intake for ascites due to cirrhosis?

Diuretics no longer working
Can anyone give me any advice about treatment when diuretics stop being effective? Hubby in hospital for 3rd time in 3 months for another drain, bloods are showing kidney problems, and doctor has mentioned that the liver is now so badly damaged he may have diuretics resistant ascites. He's also showing

ggt 700
Hi, got a ggt reading of 700, I’m so worried about this, I have been a drinker in the past but as my levels have been rising I have been giving it up. A couple of wines on Xmas eve & new year but no more since & before that I had nothing for 5 weeks. Does this mean I have cirrhosis? Anyone in the same
