NAFLD or AFLD?
Hi, In May this year I had a TIA ( mini stroke) due to high BP. My stroke consultant sent me for loads of tests, including a kidney scan.He called me the following day to say kidneys are normal but the scan showed abnormalities in my liver. He asked my weight, and asked if I had any pain. My BMI

More about Dexascan / AA / Adcal
I opened up intending to post about my latest AA Prescription dilemma - and still would like some advice. I wasn't sure whether to add to Blackcat1M's post - but it seemed a bit rude to invade her space! Anyhow, my GP prescribed me AA and Adcal -D3 early May on basis I had been on Pred since PMR arrived

How is he still functioning?
My soon-to-be-ex husband was hospitalized in July 2020 with acute alcohol hepatitis. He was sober (mostly) for about 9 months and was told his liver was completely fine (5.7kpa in Sept of 2021). He began drinking again and in March of 2022 his scan went up to 10 kpa. He started drinking amounts I've

CT scan results
had a CT scan on 24/06/22 haven’t heard anything so rang yesterday and told it takes 3 Months for X-ray dept to send results to doctor who requested the scan in the same hospital building. Unbelievable this was for my poor circulation in my legs as I can hardly walk now. I also had a MRI scan on my liver

Coughing and varices
Hi I'm back again. I have Cirrhosis and small amount of oesophageal varices. I also have COPD so tend to cough quite a lot, mostly at night. I'm finding lately that my coughing has got a lot worse. Could this be caused by the varices? I don't actually think my COPD has worsened as my breathing is

Diagnose Liver Cirrhosis
I've told before that I doubted my diagnose concerning my liver. You can read my previous posts if u would like to. I remember two and a half years ago I had highly elevated values in my blood, a swolen, painfull liver and I could feel my spleen. Further I told the specialist I had blood coming from

Newbie looking for advice on recent test result
I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid in april 2022. What a rollercoaster! Do I have an autoimmune thyroid disorder? My first test was looking at reason for a change in bowel movements and fatigue. Doctor responded directly to the TSH level and placed me on 25mg levothyroxine. Serum

Brain tumor from liver?
My husband had very strange sensation about 2 months ago. He describes it “electric ants marching from his temple to the end of the arms” and felt nauseous. If I think back, it might have been seizures. It went away after 2 weeks, then he started suffering from daily headache. He always had migraine with
