CKD from lithium, info needed
Hi, new member here. Stage 4 CKD due to lithium treatment 30 years ago. There is very little info about this. Pretty rare, I guess. I'm trying to get an idea of prognosis. It doesn't seem to be just like CKD from diabetes, other causes? Electrolytes still good, but lots of symptoms, ill feelings. Nephrologist

Movicol
Movicol contains sodium bicarbonate whereas laxido contains sodium carbonate which is more caustic and less effective. Movicol I'd more expensive and therefore GP's are less likely to prescribe it. Movicol is not so harsh and does not cause so much pain and bloating! I have used both - stick out for

Balance PH for CKD
I just read a study That was done in London that talks about keeping the PH balance in CKD. It was also published in some American journals. Talks about patients with acidic PH being so much worse than those with balanced PH. It is already well known that PH balance is so important for health but this

I am rigidity- dominant PD ; My personal experience!
I am rigidity -dominant PD and like other PwPD my main issues arise when imbalances between Acetylcholine and Dopamine and other neurotransmitters occur. I think we are either Dopamine- dominant or Acetylcholine- dominant( my case) PD. đź“Ťđź“ŤNote: The DaTSCAN image doesn't belong to me and that's for
