Supra pubic catheter
The medics were amazing, the epitome of kindness but they weren't having their bits rammed and poked and daubed with Oompa Loompa coloured antiseptic with only
lidocaine
which, excuse the pun, was piss useless. So if anyone has been down this wretched road, please let me know.

Chronic pain
I take morphine patches and tablets,
lidocaine
patches, amatryptatine tablets, ands gabapentin. I know the pain isn't going to get better so it's a case of dealing with it. I'm thinking my body is getting immune to the drugs now and need to change, but have tried so many. Any advice is welcome.

Lidocaine infusion
I have just had my 3rd
Lidocaine
infusion and it really does help. It has stopped the spasms I get first thing in the morning and my legs feel almost normal. I can actually lay in bed in the mornings, where usually I have to get up because of the pain.

Hi all....
I have attended our local pain clinic and have been various treatments including
Lidocaine
patches, a day case procedure for capsaicin patches (very painful) and more recently an Lignocaine infusion.

Whats your experience of Lidocaine Infusions?
They are proposing to give me an infusion of
lidocaine
. Has anyone else had this procedure and did it help you? Theyve told me the usual it helps some and not others. To make matters worse my fibro has got even worse over the last year.

Junior Doctor Strike - from a chronic pain perspective
I explained I had been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia and had been treated in the resuscitation section of A&E the previous evening being drugged with ketamine, morphine and
lidocaine
through the vein.

Lidocaine infustion
The pain dr. recommends I try a
lidocaine
infusion next. This is where they put an IV in your arm and then systemically administer
lidocaine
into your bloodstream for 30 min. She said it can help 'reset' the nervous system and calm down the painful nerve endings.

Why do we just get brushed off by some medical professionals.
He blew it off, said I think its virus related, no blood work, no monitor just a prescription for
lidocaine
patches for the pain. Just before I left the nurse said your papers are being printed, I signed, she handed me mine and we left.

Versatis 5% lidocaine patch.
Hi guy's I just saw my gp & asked for
lidocaine
patches for my neck/ back as I'd been looking for something non addictive for pain & saw some positive paitent reviews online, so Dr has given me 15 patches to see if I get any pain relief , my question is has anyone had these patches & do they help ?

Complications after liver biopsy
They took 2 samples and used only
lidocaine
in order to numb the site immediately prior to the biopsy being done and repeated. The experience itself was incredibly painful, and moved into general discomfort later the same day.

Pain clinic appointment continued.
I asked about the pain patch (
lidocaine
) but he didn't think I'd benefit from that. Onwards and upwards though looking forward to my jabs & new programme 😊
