Pain clinic appointment continued.

Hi there I saw a pain clinic specailst today & they decided to wait until I get my cervical spine injections to then start me on a pain management programme which will include Dr's, physiotherapists & a phycologist that won't start until next month after my jabs after that they have decided to refer me to a neurologist which is good news. In the meantime I have to just carry on with my med's. They dicovered a weakness on my right side my reflexes were affected. I asked about the pain patch ( lidocaine) but he didn't think I'd benefit from that. Onwards and upwards though looking forward to my jabs & new programme 😊

Wishing you all the best with this: sounds like the approach emphasises team coordination, which is great!

Over the decades, I've had quite a lot of spinal facet joint block injections & denervation procedures (bilaterally to whole cervical & lumbar spine + sacrum)...mainly due to a childhood injury combined with ehlers danlos hypermobility + SLE attention tightening = early onset spondylosis.

For what it's worth, IMS (intra muscular stimulation: a type of deep dry needling practiced only by licencedcpain consultants & professionals: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry... ) was especially helpful bringing denatured soft tissues back to life after decades of chronic spasm.
