Diverticulitis
I am 75 years old. On Thursday morning I awoke with terrible abdominal pain and diarrhoea followed by heavy blood loss. I was very frightened. I went to A and E where I was looked after really well. They gave me painkillers and X-rays and a CT scan. I had diverticulitis and inflammation of sigmoid colon

Genetic therapy: for solid malignancy hopefully soon
ok, I post them also because they are fellow Italians! But the platform is very promising even if clinical use has been approved only for glioma and glioblastoma at the moment. But there are clinical trials going on for solid tumors, prostate included. https://www.genenta.com/wp-content/uploads/2021

Mastectomy after 7 years of MBC
I have had MBC for 7 years still on my first line of treatment (Ibrance/Letrozole) my PET scan in September showed the tumor in my breast has increased in size and the cancer has gone into a lymph node under my armpit. Today I met with a surgeon and will have a double mastectomy in early January. My

Cotreatment with dichloroacetate and omeprazole exhibits a synergistic antiproliferative effect on malignant tumors
As a follow up to my last post I found this on DCA / Omeprazole. like myself, please treat this as information , not promoting any treatments. For me I find reading and learning about my cancer and possible treatments to be uplifting and gives me hope. To be honest something I never get from my doctor

IBD and RA
Hi, I’m going through some investigations for IBD atm - the gastroenterologist is being very thorough and linked the inflammatory markers to my RA quite quickly. Does anyone else have any experience of living with both conditions? What sort of things should I be asking and looking for? Thank you in advance

Gas in CT Simulation
Did anyone have trouble getting good imagery in CT simulation or have advice? Went on a low residue diet to prepare for CT simulation. Both times too much gas for imaging despite cutting out so much fiber and plants from diet. I read that about a practice in Austin, TX suggesting Gas-X (simethicone)

Lynparza for bone/liver mets - success?
Hello! Unfortunately, my PET scan revealed bone progression and 4 new liver lesions. I will be switching from Enhertu (was on Enhertu for a year) to lynparza/ olaparib. Has anyone had success with a parp helping get rid of bone/ liver metastasis for stage 4 breast cancer? Or keeping things stable?

My MO discussed a clinical trial for me today if I qualify with the required genetic markers. My most recent PSMA scan showed further progression of metastasis in bone and lymph nodes and my PSA has increased fairly rapidly. Currently taking both Orgovyx & Nubeqa. I'm hoping some of the smart and

more bleeding and pain after Colonoscopy 2 weeks ago
Hi all, Wondering whether anyone else has experienced worse symptoms (particularly more bleeding) following colonoscopy? it’s nearly 3 weeks later and bleeding worse than before the procedure. Gastro refuses to acknowledge this - she says I’m just in a bad flare. I can’t understand why it is worse

The Effect of Intranasal Oxytocin in Patients With Functional Motor Symptoms: A Preliminary Open-Label Case Series
I think I may have FND. I have these jerks and subtle lurches that would not fall under PD (and I have not been diagnosed with PD). I have been diagnosed with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, which is likely a sign of something not good coming, but I am working on heading that not good thing off at the pass

Newly diagnosed with PBC
Hi there! I just got my official diagnosis today and was started on Ursodiol. I have been feeling fatigued for about 13 years and no one could find a reason. In the last 3 years, my liver enzymes went up and I started getting even weirder symptoms. Neurological impairments, heart pain, muscle pain.
