Statins
Hi, new member here, 60yo. Cholesterol 5.1 overall, CT scan showed potential CAD - echo and possible angioplast to be done in due course. I've been told in no uncertain terms I have to take statins. I'm not overly enamoured about that as there seems to be so many varying studies; some say they'll give

Thin, fragile skin
I thought it might be helpful to post this for those of us with very thin, easily damaged skin. It’s one of the many hazards of long-term, high dose steroid use, including inhalers. Of course, if it weren’t for steroids I wouldn’t be here, so I’m glad they’re available. After decades of steroid use

Red Yeast Rice Supplement
does anybody take this supplement for cholesterol, if so does it interfere with your RLS. It is free of Monacolin, think that might be important. Thanks

Information
Hi all. I have had some bad attacks over the last several months when I’m in a crowded place and it’s noisy, so much so that I’ve had to leave the building. I think I know what causes it having completed a first aid course in 1976 but just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. It’s like a panic

*Long Read Warning* How do you know if you’re getting better mentally?
Just need to vent, if you read this and commented thankyou, it helps getting another perspective on the situation. Male, 20 Parents went through a divorce in 2022 and it was ugly to say the least. (Mom was an alcoholic, dad was a cop and emotionally distant due to his Mexican culture and upbringing

Badminton Bolt 10K Race Report ⚡️😎👍
I had to do this one. It’s on my doorstep, the funds go to support a local school, the location is beautiful and it was my first 10K race since December 2021!!! Oh, and there was going to be bling 🤩 I didn’t find out until this morning that this was the very first Bolt 10K. There has been a 5K before

I now have my First Aid Instructor qualification and teach Basic Life Support-CPR-Defibrillator training. My own training has helped me in 2 different situations

Hi Until December last I was taking 40 mg iron bisglycinate with orange juice every two days. Since this had little impact on my RLS I increased the iron dose to 40mg every day from December until now. As yet I have noticed little change to my RLS symptoms. A blood test this month showed my ferritin

Xtandi (enzalutimide) SEs Part 2
Since I've increased my Xtandi from 80 mg to 160 mg, I am now experiencing a bad case of the jimmy legs (restless legs) at night. I take my Xtandi around 8 pm. I still work full time and I've read that taking it at night helps avoid the fatigue during the day. So far that seems to be the case with
