TSH over 4.5 for 10 years, nothing else but symptoms got worse
Hello! I’ve had a kind of high tsh since I was 19. I’ve tested it along with T4, the 2 antibodies, not sure if also T3, and they all were fine except my Tsh (4.5). I did it because I fainted upon waking up with low blood sugar and low blood pressure after a stressful period (I got anxiety, depression

Hi all Has anyone been referred to urology for a flexi cystoscopy that turned out fine? GP appointment went well!
So I had a follow up appointment about my latest blood results… vitamin D was at 174 and ferritin at 43.5 ug/L (20.0 - 130.0) My GP was not concerned about my vitamin D level and said resume at whatever I am taking as it’s not a toxic level 🤷🏻♀️ The ferritin level however he agreed is in range but

Failed Pluvicto
Hello warriors, especially Tall Allen. I'm going on 6 years since Gleason 9 advanced metastatic diagnosis. Had a good run on Zytiga and all the usual other treatments, but just failed last ditch treatment of Pluvicto (after treatment 3). Did genetic testing and no significant mutations. My PSA is

T4/T3 struggle
I’m writing this because I can’t seem to lose weight since I was diagnosed/put on medication 2 years ago. I was at least 15kg less before medication. I keep gaining despite eating clean. I am on 75mcg levo and about 3mcg of Cytomel. (I weigh 88kg) I gained most of the weight since I started Cytomel

I was told my next sputum test would be 4 weeks after my first day of medication... seems like a long time?

Curious about PBC symptoms and LFTs at Diagnosis
Hello Everyone, I am new to the group and I was recently diagnosed with PBC and I was wondering if anyone could share what symptoms they might have been experiencing when they first were diagnosed with PBC. I know from doing some research, that "intense" itching is mentioned as well as elevated LFTs

Does anyone take a diuretic to help with water retention?
I have for many years suffered from painful water retention in my buttocks and legs. I am also unable to pinch the skin on my upper arms. Ive recently been prescribed a diuretic to see if this will help. Do others have a similar issue? Or is it a sign that I’m still under medicated? My legs are painful

T4 high range advice please
Hi I’m just looking for some advice please these are my latest results. As you will see T4 always seems to be in the higher range whilst T3 the lower end of the range. Just wondering if a small amount of Liothyronine were to be added how does it actually work? For example would it raise T3 whilst lowering

Completely lost
I’m 72 & in general good health (I think) except for Osteopenia and that I inherited Restless Legs from my mum. I started on .25mg Ropinirole 7 years ago which was like magic but it’s slowly increased to 3x.25mg per night. Perhaps not a big dose but I learned via this site it’s best to switch from Ropinirole

T3 narrative
Hello, I have been exclusively on T3 since November 2023 following years of trying different combinations. At the current time I am sourcing this privately however I am soon due another endocrinology appointment and I’m dreading it, but would also like to see if I can get it on the NHS. They are so

Reviews and recommendations
Hi, I was taking T3 over the counter which improved my symptoms substantially. I then had a heart attack late January and was told it was down to the T3 which I’m not convinced of. So I want to go down the road of talking to a doctor who knows what they’re talking about with T3. I’m full time disabled

Took progesterone 10 hours late on day 10 post FET transfer - freaking out!
It’s day 10 after my frozen embryo transfer and I have a positive pregnancy test! This is incredible news - I am absolutely over the moon. But I’m now also completely freaking out as messed up todays progesterone injection and took it 10 hours late. Am I going to miscarry? I’m crippled with worry.

Diabetes and Prednisolone
Hi, just enquiring about the use of Prednisolone and its affect on diabeties. I have been a type 2 diabetic since 2016. For the first four years I managed to control it by diet only but since I was diagnosed with PMR in August 2020 my diabetes has got worse year on year. I was initially put on Metformin
