Does anyone have experience taking a "drug holiday" from sinemet or any other levodopa drug? For how long? Was it successful? Did it reset?

Diabetes Type 2, PD and Berberine
Diabetes is a common disease that affects many Americans and 90 to 95% of diabetics have Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). I will be discussing T2DM and one option to help deal with it effectively based on multiple studies. Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) is significantly less common so I will focus this discussion

Recommend a reliable mg scale AND Barlowe's brown 40% mucuna dose question
Can anyone recommend a mg scale that actually works? I've tried 2 (purchased from Amazon) but had to send both back because they were totally unreliable even after calibration. Second question... since I can't find a scale that works (yet), can anyone give me a ballpark U.S. customary teaspoon measurement

Free ebook of 300 pages:"Parkinson's here and now. 27 years searching for a cure for Parkinson's disease (1994-2021)."
This coming Monday (if everything goes as planned) I will publish on my blog "Parkinson's here and now" the link to a free book of about 250-300 pages and in printable pdf format, which collects the most interesting of the book I published in 2015 (now translated into English) as a tribute to my father

The Incredible Edible Egg...?
Despite the fact that eggs can compete with L-dopa for entry into the brain, has anyone out there had symptomatic benefit from eating them? I find that a freshly poached egg on top of a small piece of gluten free toast is an almost immediate relief in PD symptoms for me. It’s as if my body calms down

Started Sinemet and my hair is falling out, switching to mucuna
Editing to add that I've also had dry and uncomfortable eyes and unusually blurry vision since starting Sinemet. Yuck! I have been diagnosed with EBMD, but that doesn't show up overnight, and the eye issues started within hours of the first Sinemet pill I took. ***************************************

Why have a DaTscan?
I showed early signs of Early Onset Parkinsons Disease last year (impaired gait, stiffness, bent at the knees, shuffling walk, dystonia in left thigh) and my first neurologist put me on Levodopa and unfortunately it worked and made my symptoms disappear which I’m aware means that I have PD. Why then

THC/Marijuana: Why/how does it work for PD?
I live in the US in a no-marijuana state but only 5 minutes from a recreational-legal state. I usually go to my sister's house (in the legal state) at bedtime, grab an edible, then head home to sleep (it takes about an hour to kick in). Without THC, I barely sleep at all. It takes 4-5 hours to fall

First time carbidopa levodopa user
Hello all! Well I tried my first dose of carbidopa levodopa last night and I only took a half a tab of a controlled dose to try it out and all I can tell you is I still feel the after affects. Chapter 17. I dream of the revolution that must come... 2/2.
This is chapter 17 of a book I published in 2015, "A Different Way of Looking at Parkinson's. Almost 20 years of experience with my father's disease (1994-2012)" (only in Spanish). Although we have learned a lot more since that year, I think it can still be useful to most sufferers and family members

CiteEffects of Helicobacter pylori on Levodopa Pharmacokinetics
The prevalence of Helicobacter pylori in Parkinson’s disease patients is reported to be about 1.6-fold higher than in a control population in some studies. Helicobacter has therefore been assumed to be linked to Parkinson’s disease, but the mechanism is unclear. As regards symptoms and treatment, patients

The importance of vitamin B6 against Parkinson's. The end of a meaningless prejudice since 1975.
A restriction or prohibition that has survived almost 50 years (1975-2020) without any scientific reason since levodopa was linked to carbidopa or benserazide. by Jesus Marquez Rivera Project "Parkinsons Here and Now" (2012-2021) "What is Science? Self-help with nutritional supplements for RLS
I have RLS for about twelve years. I have started with a few restex. It worked great but I read about the augmentation. So I decided to find a better way for me. I startet with homeopathy (zincum valerianicum). It worked for a half year. Then I found CES brain stimulation. this worked also for a half
