Trihexyphenidyl
Hello all, I've been prescribes Trihexyphenidyl and I'm worried about the repercussions, my consultant said shouldn’t affect me as I’m young but it has links with memory problems and dementia, something I know Parkinson’s is already increases the risk of. It’s also supposed to be addictive and hard

Finger tapping
At the time of the PD diagnosis, the neurologist did a finger tapping test by tapping your thumb and several fingers together as fast as possible, also opening the fingers as wide as possible each time. Sensors on the fingers allow the movements to be measured accurately and objectively, and this still

CARBIDOPA 25/LEVODOPA 100MG TAB For RLS
I know this drug was talked about in relation to Parkinson's. My doctor has prescribed it for my RLS when I travel in an airplane. I am only to take no more than 3 tablets per week. Has anyone used this for traveling? Any help? Side effects? Comments, please.

Rytary switching, tips from your success?
My MDS has recommended switching to Rytary. She says "most" people do better on Rytary. I have been taking one 25/100 immediate release and one 25/100 Continuous release generic C/L at 8, 12, 3:30-4ish and 7:30ish. I also have added citicoline. I get wearing off at about the 3-3.5 hour mark, and I do

PD sucks
PD suspected by GP in November 2022. Confirmed by neurologist in January 2023. Tried different meds - now on rotigotine patches plus after research, I now take mucuna morning and afternoon. Supposed to provide 240mg L-Dopa each day. It helps with constipation. What bothers me most is poor

This is a follow-up question to my earlier post of a couple of days ago concerning HBOT as adjunctive therapy for parkinson's disease.
Here I go again. I was on TASIGNA off label for PD for 281 days in 2017. I've listed all results I considered positive. My neurologist told me they were all placebo effects, and therefore not real. PWP KNOW VERY WELL what happens if you inadvertently miss a dose of Levodopa or you are late taking your

Why not give Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) as Adjunctive Therapy a Try?
I am thinking this will likely be my last post, unless something dramatic shakes out. Remember LTC CHESTY PULLER'S, USMC, comment, Battle of the Chosin Resvoir, North Korea, 1950. "The bas..... are in front of us and at our rear. They are on our right flank and our left flank. They won't get

idea?
husband has always reacted poorly/had weird side effects from drugs, to the point I read any new prescriptions. VA did genetic testing for reactions to 20 common drugs and I carry that with me to ask appointments. The loss of testosterone has definitely weakened him and the lupron brain fog is very real

Mucuna pruriens extracts
Mucuna pruriens extracts containing 15%, 40% or 99% L-dopa are being offered for sale. Does anyone know how such formulations are achieved? It seems inconceivable that in purifying L-dopa, the process can be stopped at exactly 15% or 40%. Are these concentrations achieved simply by standardising Mucuna

Sleep for Pain relief
The worst part of my off time is awful pain in one foot. It drives me mad. Levodopa does a good job of relieving the situation but I can also get relief by sleeping. Overnight is fair enough because you expect systems to repair and renew and tine for dopamine stores to build. But for me, even a 15 minute

About me
In the late spring of 2015, I found myself depressed. I sought out a psychologist. I quite liked him, but treatment had no positive effects. I was experiencing strange physical effects at the same time… Things like walking became difficult, my body was stiff, and my sense of smell and taste had diminished

Distribution of medication and supplements throughout the day.
In my efforts to optimise the effect of C/L medication and oral supplements, I would like advice on this, to promote positive drug / supplements interactions if possible and to prevent any negative interactions. For example, I am familiar with the interaction carbidopa <> B6, but what is the best time

Update on IPX203

The agency noted that pharmacokinetic studies pointing to the safety of carbidopa have not been established and said more research is needed.” This makes

Switch to Mucuna
Apologies if this has been asked and answered earlier. I am looking for a guide to switch from C/L to Green tea/Mucuna. Is there a method to calculate green tea against equivalent carbidopa doses? Is brewed green tea better or green tea extract capsule? Is there any interaction between green tea and
