Levaquin

The ER doctor prescribed the antibiotic Levaquin. Ten days of it almost killed me. I have struggled to try to get back to where I was. The first of February I had an appointment with my doctor. The 100 mile trip was rough on me so I took 1/2 Sinemet to help with pain.

try levofloxacin (levaquin) for a week

Have been back to emmergency three more times and always was prescribed Levaquin but it has no effect on them. They did extensive blood test and ty are in my blood. Nothing works. I've had them now for almost two years. Just found out I have pulmanary Fibrosis.

Was on both Levaquin and Cipro for 5 mos or more .

I just noticed one of the antibiotics that will be in my IV drip will be Levaquin and the other Rocephin. Levaquin is one I do not want to have. I called the Dr.'s office and requested an alternative to Levaquin. Thoughts are welcomed. Thank you.

He did not use Levaquin or any floroquinolones as I had requested. They did use Rocephin as my antibiotic. I did have general anesthesia. No issues. Results by next week. The TP biopsy needs to be the standard procedure.

I am cautious because I had heart PVCs/palpitations for 2-3 months after taking Levaquin two years ago, then the same thing happened last year, after my 2nd CV shot (2-3 months also). I resolved the palpitations by taking Taurine morning and night.

They fought the infection with levaquin infusions for 5 days and orals for 10 days. All infection was eliminated but because of the damage I had to go to a rehabilitation hospital to gain enough strength to take care of myself. Sepsis is wicked and really hard on those who have MS.

I don't want to start on another prescription and just cause new problems, like Levaquin did for my lung infection earlier this year. George

I want to start taking Collagen to try to counter the tendinitis and neuropathy caused by Levaquin that I took two months ago. Yes, I got floxed and I'm upset about it...no real warnings to me before taking.

said not a heart attack so you can go home, then they gave me 5 days of prednisone which made me feel improved until they were out of my system then back to same pains, then they tried Augmentin which helped slightly but things reset to bad a few days after taking, then the most recent doctor gave my Levaquin

I am 73 now and had very good health until I had hyperthyroid from graves disease which came upon me after receiving high doses of levaquin for pneumonia.

I am taking 750 mg Levaquin in addition to cefdinir. Has anyone else has similar experience?? Just trying to figure out how to make this and build up my immunity to avoid having such frequent flare ups and stay healthy.

Hi everyone , recently I have been fighting sinusitis and I was put on Levaquin . Unfortunately Levaquin didn’t kill the bug. So now my Dr gave me a prescription for Z Pack .

My Internist wanted me to take broad spectrum Levaquin, low dose 1 x day. I already knew the serious dangers of that class of drugs. So I have refused it. I had the opportunity to talk with my husbands cousin Saturday at a family gathering who is an ER Dr.

I was prescribed Levaquin for a week. I honestly see why some people get freaked out and start going google crazy. I have gotten so many different diagnoses that I don’t even know what to believe. I wasn’t even told how severe if at all the infection was or nothing.

If you have ever taken any of the following: ciprofloxacin (Cipro), gemifloxacin (Factive), levofloxacin (Levaquin), moxifloxacin (Avelox), norfloxacin (Noroxin), and ofloxacin (Floxin). Look up Fluoroquinolone Toxicity.

I have never returned to my excellent health I had before the Levaquin. Has anyone had experience with Levaquin causing many ever-lasting side effects like sore muscles, painful tendons, and worst a thyroidectomy?

When other antibiotics such as Z pak, Doxycycline did not work, I was prescribed Levaquin. Heavy duty, but it worked in hospital.
