40% chance
So, 4 weeks ago I had a
laparotomy
for removal of endometriosis, and tubal repair. Apparently now I have a 40% chance to get pregnant. Take away from that the 10% chance of ectopic, then 50% chance of miscarriage, and I am left with an 18% chance of having a baby. I am utterly distraught.

Does anyone know anything about egg-freezing when there is a risk of ovary removal?
Am due to have a
laparotomy
next week to remove a 15cm ovarian cyst and have division of adhesions. I had a laparoscopy in July last year and have been taking Prostap but my cysts have grown back regardless and the largest is so big this time that they cant see what it is attached to.

Surgery
If tumours look benign and it's possible then they will be removed along with remaining ovary and cyst on left Fallopian tube, however consultant doesn't think this is possible and is of the belief I must have
laparotomy
but this carries significant high risk of bowel, uterine and bladder injury.

Got my laparotomy date - 2 weeks!
After being on the waiting list for 4 months I now have my date for my
laparotomy
. Open surgery to remove endo and try to rebuild the distal end of my Fallopian tubes. Feeling excited that there is a chance, small chance, that I may be fertile again in a few weeks time!

Endometriosis as the most recent gynecological diagnosis.
A
laparotomy
later and I was free of my cyst and apparently still with all my reproductive organs: they didn't need to do a hysterectomy. They discharged me, sent me on my way insisting I would be more likely to win the lottery than have another cyst.

Recovery after laparotomy
I had a
laparotomy
nearly 4 weeks to remove endo and large cysts. Over the last week my stomach has become huge, bloated and have had sharp spasm type pain on my right hand side of operation site. My tummy feels hard when I stand up as its so engorged. People keep asking if i'm pregnant.

Jalo69 ? Does anybody else have upper left abdominal stabbing pain??
So i had a
laparotomy
. Left ovary and fallopian removed had a 7cmx5cm endo cyst on it . Endo scattered everywhere and another 1cm cyst found in POD . my bowel had been stuck to the larger mass. After this I was relieved and thought that would be the end. The rectal pain started.

Only option is hysterectomy ( total pelvic clear out).... Help!!!
Hi girls, I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2005 after an incidental finding of a cyst on my left ovary for which I had a
laparotomy
and ovarian cystectomy. I had no symptoms at the time but for the past 4 years have been continuously in and out of hospital with severe pain.

My babies journey
He started to get worse and 3 days after the first surgery he needed a
laparotomy
(an operation to see what's going in inside) they found that he had had a huge bile leak, so they cleaned him all out and sent him bk to icu.
