Still not on Lap waiting list, could a MRI (private or NHS) help confirm endometriosis?
Hi everyone, I was told nearly a year ago after 10+ years of advocating for a lap that I would finally be put on the waiting list. I have just found out the gynaecologist did not put me on it. I have another appointment with her at the end of the month to discuss this devastating news, should I pressure

Does anyone else experience this with bowel movements?
Im still waiting for my
laparoscopy
and the gp wants to see me to check how my amitriptyline is doing for my chronic pains in a few weeks so I might mention some stuff to them because it's taking every fibre of my being to not be depressed about my health at this point.

hysterectomy or not?
I had surgery (
laparoscopy
) 2 years ago where a cyst was removed from an ovary and endometriosis was confirmed and some clearing was attempted. Now I am due for another surgery but this time with an endometriosis specialist.

stage 4
I got diagnosed with stage 4 endo in may after I had a
laparoscopy
to remove a 4cm endometrioma. I didn’t know I had it. I had been having heavy periods for a few days a month but put it down to my age 45.

IUD removal with general anaesthetic
Hi! I have been living with suspected endometriosis since I was 14. Flooding, heavy periods and intense stomach and back pain have plagued my life. In 2020 I was finally sent to see a gynaecologist after a decade of medical gaslighting. I ended up leaving with an IUD I never wanted or requested. The

Endometriosis and FET
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had experience in having a lap for endo close to FET. I had to pause treatment due to OHSS, but due to start again next month for transfer. I have stage 4 endo and the pains are getting a lot worse again and I haven’t had a lap for two years. Would it be best for me to

Getting a Diagnosis
I’ve had a look and it seems the
laparoscopy
is the best way to get it diagnosed. I’m trying to be very practical about it. So how do you have that conversation with a doctor? Or do you ask for a nurse? Do you ask for a specialist?

Hello,Anyone had the above? I basically have every textbook symptoms of endo including a family history of it. Mirena IUD for Endo/Adeno
I had an operative
laparoscopy
two months ago, and I had the IUD fitted at the same time for management of adenomyosis and endometriosis. I have experienced a number of persistent side effects of this treatment; the most significant, being acne.

had cousin’s kids for a week. Terminally tired
I’m so wiped out and exhausted I could cry. I have a cousin who’s a total loser and I ended up taking care of his kids and basically being their guardian. They live in a children’s home most of the time but as a caregiver my husband and I have them on long school weekends and holidays. We don’t have

Reason to be cheerful
Obvs a lot of people are really worried about heart diseases in this forum. TBH I sometimes share those concerns ... but in general I try to post positive reassuring posts about CHD and CAD. I'm 63 (64 in a few days) and have been really busy with a nerdy consultancy project. Quite by chance the project

First period after Laparoscopy
I was thinking of stopping to pill to check whether the
laparoscopy
worked to reduce my pain but so many people have horrible pain after
laparoscopy
. Is this the same for everyone? hould I take the risk?

feeling a little defeated and lonely
I’ve got endo and adeno and I can’t work out whether the pain I have is from endo or adeno - I didn’t expect the
laparoscopy
to be a quick fix or to cure me, I’m not that naive but I had hoped for more than 1 month pain free. My sciatica seems to have got worse.

belly button re infected 6 weeks after op
hello, I’ve been quite unwell with a nasty virus, temperature, coughing and body aches. I had a week long course of antibiotics which cleared up the laparoscopic wound infection to my belly button. Unfortunately, I’ve had some pain in it the last few days and when I woke up this morning to check it

I’ve just had a
laparoscopy
to rule out gynae issue causing bloating and gastric symptoms along with heavy periods and significant pain. No endometriosis found, just a fibroid so hormones being blamed for majority of it.

He confirmed my MRI scan was showing signs however would need
laparoscopy
