Im in sooo much pain whenever. I get up and walk. The pain from my lower back radiates down my rt.leg.. I had a rt. Total knee replacement 2009, which never got well. Dx: Osteoporosis/ osteoarthritis. ..When this new pain started I thought it was my knee or hip...taking my meds just take the edge off

Can't win!!
Well I'm 11 days post total knee replacement, on Monday I saw the GP as my RA was flaring & I felt rough! The Dr gave me some steroids which seems to have helped. Then yesterday I woke up with my ankle & foot swollen, so I "iced" it, put on a toe to groin tubigrip, elevated it, yet carried on exercising

In "flare" following knee replacement?
I'm never really sure what is classed as a "flare" but boy do I hurt everywhere today!!! My knee replacement was done on Monday last week but today alll my joints are very sore making movement really difficult. I'm using crutches but they are making my shoulder & wrist hurt; my hips are protesting loudly

Foot/ankle fusion when knee replacement also likely soon. Anyone had both done (not at the same time!)?
Hi all -I have looming on the horizon a possible triple foot fusion on my right foot. I also have decrepit knees and have been advised I will need knee replacement/s in a couple of years if things keep progressing as they are. I know that several people have had the knee replacements but is there anyone

Just been told I have to have a double knee replacement but will not be able to restart Rituximab for 9 months. Also have MSSA.
I haven't been on this site for nearly a year now as after 4 cycles of Rituximab I thought I was starting to get to grips with how to cope with this awful RA. I went to the consultant last week to what I thought was a routine appointment and was told that the cartilage in both knees has been destroyed

Has anyone had or heard of injecting a fluid into the knee instead of a replacement?

multi site avascular necrosis after non Hodgkins- could Hughes be a part of this?
hi- I'm new to this site but am asking on behalf of my daughter aged 27. 10 years ago she was diagnosed with nonHodgkin's lymphoma and received chemo and high dose steroids. 3 or so years after this she started with hip pain and then knee pain. She has now had two THR and one extensive knee replacement

Does anyone else find symptoms are worse when you don't sweat? If my feet feel really dry, ie not sweaty at all, rather than dry skin.
I've had RLS since I was a child, on and off. Since stopping codeine after a long period of use, prior to knee replacements, I have had it every night for about a year. Taking pramixole 0.5mg but still suffering.

Weekend in Ghent!
We've just had a long weekend in Ghent prior to my knee replacement next Monday. We had a great time & the weather wasn't too bad although the Friday was very cold, so cold in fact that I got a rash on my legs from the cold! I don't think I've had that happen for many years! We stayed in a 18thc B&B

Rheumy visit today
I had a rheumy appointment today following having had a hand scan & back xray back in October. I wasn't sure what he was going to say,he did tell me that I was an unusual case as all my bloods are negative so they were wondering if it was more OA than RA however the hand scan shows both RA & OA so I

is this psoriatic arthritis?
I used to play football 3 times a week and for the last 6 or 8 months I have felt a pain in both my ankles which never shifted. About 3 month ago, I twisted my left ankle so badly while playing that I needed a stick for walking for 2 weeks and after some excruciating pain suddenly my left ankle felt
