"A diagnosis of bad luck"
Hey folks, I hope you're all holding up as well as you can today. Just wanted to post to share the outcomes of my WTF appointment following last month's failed IVF cycle. (For those who don't have the context, I got 9 mature eggs, 7 fertilised... but none made it to day 5 except an ungraded early blast

TSH high level before transfer :(
Hi everyone, I have just discovered this group and decided to join as I need help to understand how thyroid levels work for IVF. I am on my two week wait after a frozen transfer (11 March) in Spain and asked for the clinic to test progesterone and thyroid levels two days before transfer (09 March)

Methane dominant breath test - Aire 2
I purchased the FoodMarble Aire2 two weeks ago and have been logging meals and doing breath tests. Early days of course but most meals rarely go above 4 - except for one day when I experimented with 6 danish butter cookies and that scored a 6.7 after one hour! I notice that on all my readings that

Could Someone Explain The TTGIgA Test Please?
Hello! I have recently had some blood tests done due to low vitamin B12 and long term issues with iron deficiency. My GP did some tests to rule out Celiacs as a cause, and I just wondered if somebody could explain the Tissu Transglutaminase IgA test please - my result came back at 0.4 (range 0-6.9) I

Hi! I had some blood tests done last week (a brief history - I haven’t been 100% since I had Covid 14 months ago and been suffering with extreme tiredness and fatigue.. I was found to have iron deficiency anaemia and was successfully treated last year), it has shown I have low B12 (173 - range 197-771

PSA rise
2 months ago my PSA was 20. I have had extensive screening done prior to starting a clinical trial on Tuesday. My PSA has gone up to 367 since then. CT scan showed no significant change and I had bone scan yesterday. Onco says it may just be increased activity of existing cancer cells and not necessarily

Am I entitled to 3 rounds IVF if doctor refers to a borough that offers 3? (Mine only offers 1)
We are going privately for a a micro tese as Frimley Health doesn’t offer it on the NHS. That’s going to cost us minimal £6,500 which is a big chunk of our IVF savings. We are only entitled to one shot at IVF in our area and are thinking to be referred to North Central London which is close by and

Advice with Graves Disease
Hi All - I was diagnosed with Graves Disease in June 2023 and prescribed Carbimazole 20mg plus Propranolol 80mg Sustained Release. Hello there. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences or knowledge over what I’m going through right now. Recently I had my blood test done. My ALT,AST, and alkaline phosphates came out super high (131, 89, 146) respectfully. I was struggling with a really bad flu at the time of these tests. Could

Hi all - I am getting ahead of myself, but after 3 years of TTC and investigations and 2 clinical pregnancies and a big fat NHS rejection , we are
finally
starting IVF, and about to dive into our first round of IVF + ICSI + PGT-A testing. I know the chances are low at 42 but I am choosing realistic

Adrenal tumour - anyone here with experience with it?
Hey everyone, My aldosterone levels are very elevated at 409 (range up to 190). I'm waiting for the adrenal MRI. My endo said he's suspecting adrenal adenoma since my ACTH was low, blood cortisol high, unable to raise thyroid meds or raising and having symptoms. Anyone here diagnosed with it or know

Do I have Graves disease?
After being diagnosed with Thyrotoxicosis and medicated with Carbimazole and Propranolol, they finally did the Thyroid Antibodies test. They said I have hyperthyroidism, likely caused by Graves disease. I have symptoms of Thyroid Eye Disease. My results came back in range! So, do I not have Graves disease

DHEA supplements
Hi everyone! Can I ask if anyone has used DHEA for fertility aid and if it helped? Also, are there any known side effects and is It ok to take if you have a good egg reserve? It was recommended to me by my doctor to use to prepare for my second round of IVF.

IVF medications to stop at 12 weeks, how sure can you go cold turkey?
I’m looming to the 12 week marker. In terms of stopping my IVF medication. I’m currently on Lubion once a day, 3 x 400mg of Cyclogest and 4 x 2mg of prognova. I’ve been told by my IVF clinic to stop cold turkey when I hit 12 weeks.. however, I’m really scared to do this.. my pregnancy journey has not
