I am pretty certain my first IVF round has failed - I am still in my 2ww but have been bleeding quite badly and my test said negative - I had a good cry to husband earlier but I don’t want to cry anymore! It’s all in Gods hands and I know I’ll have my little baby soon - and I am grateful we have another embryo graded 4BB frozen which will be put into me next.
Just some questions, how long is the wait time usually until they do a 2nd transfer?
Has anyone had successful 2nd transfers in comparison to the 1st?
Any tips for 2nd time for me for more chances? I know all of us are different and our bodies react differently, but maybe some experiences or advice from experience will help me or others reading this.
I just turned 40 yesterday! So time may not be on my side and I’m hoping God willing this works 2nd time for us 🙏xx

Sorry to hear your transfer wasn’t successful. The wait time usually depends on your clinic and their availability. I don’t have a success story second time round but after a failed fresh transfer, I had to wait for my period to start and then I started the medication for the fet when it arrived. For context with my second cycle, the fresh transfer failed in the mid December, period came mid jan, and I had the fet transfer early feb.
I always responded better to fet cycles than fresh and hopefully you are the same.
I’m so sorry to hear your transfer failed also x how are you getting on now? Are you still continuing IVF? X and thank you that makes sense - I am on my period now and due next period around June 4th so hopefully around mid/end of June they can do my FET. Can I ask what medication they had you on and was it an injection? And how long for? Xx
Hi! I am really sorry that it looks like your transfer didn't work, IVF can be so soul crushing. We changed a few things for my second FET, which worked. Mediterranean diet with Greek yoghurt, honey and nuts, pomegranate juice a week or so before the transfer for the lining, baby aspirin, as well as oral and vaginal probiotics (Biogaia and Canesfloor). We took a 4-month break between the first and the second FET to recover emotionally, went on holiday abroad, met up with friends etc. Good luck with the second round, I hope you get a sticky one!
