Keppra

My 15 year old daughter is on 175mg Lamotrigine twice daily & 750mg Keppra twice daily.

Introduced to Keppra and tonic clonic returned...so now suggested to stop Keppra and introduce Zonisamide. On low dose of Oxcarbazepine. I have read side effects of this drug and side effects concern me greatly. Anyone else on this drug? Thanks

The Drs prescribed Keppra. He had been on clonazepam for years fours times a day tablets. He has been unwell vomiting and we couldn't get the meds in him. So he has a syringe driver with clonazepam higher dose and glyco to manage excessive secretions.

I thought the tiredness might be caused by Keppra a drug I take for epilepsy, I’m also on statins … but anyway the GP did a blood test, the Serum Alanine transaminase was ‘out of range’ at 54 u/l.

Has had 6 tonic-clonics over 7mos period Treatment: Keppra 3500mg/day Present Day: Went 2.5 mos without a seizure. Then, last weekend had tonic-clonic on back to back days as she started to ovulate. Lack of sleep not an issue.

She is at home now with prescription of Keppra and dexomethasone. Got second opinion on a private hospital and she got offered 10 rounds of chemio, but wasnt seen physically, just the imaging. Does anyone know why in some ocassions cancer treatment is not offered?

I have now been put on an additional anti epileptic called phenytoin in addition to my keppra. I haven’t had any seizures since that Saturday but yesterday felt like a seizure was coming on but it didn’t.

They did my brain tests which were inconclusive and advised I take a drug call Keppra. I said NO WAY Just look up this drug, and you will discover it has so many bad psychological effects it's -- shall I say worse than Lupron? It can make you violent, self-destructive, or even suicidal.

Have been on Levetriciam Keppra for 20 years since age 42 now 62. Diagnosed with osteopenia r hip and spine. thoughts regarding bio identical hormone replacement therapy current dose of Keppra 500mg morning and night. Any one else gone down this path and have results?

Hi I’m new to the forum I’ve had epilepsy for 10 years, for the first couple of years it was fairly well controlled with various doses of Keppra, im now on 3000mg.

Im also finding that since keppra increase to 750mg twice a day after a seizure on 1st september lasting around 10 minutes, this has had an effect regarding being more agitated and impatient.

Currently taking keppra 750mg twice a day and 50mg lacosamide twice a day. Being stuck in the house all day on my own while hubby is at work for up to 12 hours isnt helping anxiety/depression. Im wondering if there is anyone who has the same head/brain feelings with their epilepsy?

After an increase in seizure frequency my consultant is talking about changing me from keppra + lamotragine to Keppra + Cenobamate. The only review I can find of Cenobamate are on drugs.com. It does tend to attract negative reviews.

Started on 250mg. keppra tonight after failing clonodine quickly (leg cramps and increased blood pressure did in that one). 250mg isn't enough, at least tonight, and I am wondering how quickly I should increase. Doc says I can go up to 750mg. and I have a terrible time with tolerating medicines.

Keppra made me sick and kept Me up till 4AM So I started topamax. It also seems to Be alerting. Anyone had this side effect go away? Getting Pretty bummed...

I take steroids in the morning and Keppra at night and experience a constant brain fog and weakness to limbs which I am unsure as to whether it is due to the meds or the tumour. The brain fog is variable but appears worse if I don't sleep well.

Keppra for long term Epilepsy [although no episodes for years, but never properly reviewed. Rapinirol for mildly high blood pressure. quite a cocktail of drugs for anyone, I’m sure you would agree.
