Links between Methotrexate and menopause
hello, has anyone experienced entering into early menopause whilst on Methotrexate? I'm 41 years old and have been on Methotrexate for almost 2 years,I'm. Experiencing menopausal symptoms but GP won't do a blood test to test hormone levels and suggests could be down to my arthritis meds. thanks

Hydrotherapy and beyond?
I have recently been referred for a series of 4 one to one Hydrotherapy sessions at my NHS hospital. When these finish I can take up a course of six classes targeted at either back/core or hip/knee. I am very grateful for the opportunity and have found the comfort of warm, weight bearing water a revelation

Osteoarthritis and Thyroid
Hi all, I am 31 and have just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my feet, knees and hands. It saya online most people who develop it at my age are athletes or have had an injury. Neither of which are true for me. I’m actually just wondering if there could be a link between hypothyroidism and osteoarthritis

Good Rheumatologist Edinburgh - who’s familiar and good with Seronegative RA/Psoriatic Arthritis?
Hi I’ve had a bad experience at the WGH in Edinburgh previously with one dismissive consultant and now may need to see a new one should I require further treatment (aka biologics). Can anyone recommend any Rheumatologists who don’t solely rely on bloods and scans that are open minded and are familiar

Update on Rheumatology appointment
Thought I'd just do a quick update. I saw a very nice Consultant this time. He said that he thought I no longer had PMR but that I had something called Steroid Myopathy where the muscles. ligaments and tendons become weak and lose strength (having checked I have been on steroids since March 2020) and

doxycycline and reduction of arthritis symptoms
I recently had an infected tick bite: hospital removed embedded tick and gave me 3 weeks supply of Doxycycline antibiotic. This to prevent a recurrence of Lyme Disease. Though the tablets upset my stomach badly, after week 2 I noticed my arthritis had all but disappeared. Usual routine of waking up in

Arthritis aids
I'm having trouble turning off my garden tap because of the arthritis in my fingers and wrists. It's one of the old fashioned ones - brass with two "arms". Any recommendations for something to help?

Diclofenac (Voltaren)
is Diclofenac , 1% solution, 4 mg. 4 times a day OK to use while on prednisone? I’m currently on 9 mg. My GP says it’s fine because it’s topical, not systemic. I’ve tried it 3 times and it really helped my shoulder pain. I have osteoarthritis and possibly other causes for the pain. I’m
