Researchers at the University of Nottingham are looking for people with rheumatoid arthritis treated with immune-suppressing medicines and advised to have regular blood tests for this treatment, to take part in a questionnaire and interview. They would like you to take part if you have attended all of your blood tests or have missed any blood tests for any reason. People with inflammatory conditions, like rheumatoid arthritis, treated with immune suppressing medicines are recommended to have regular blood tests to monitor for potential side-effects. Researchers at the University of Nottingham are undertaking work which aims to create a personalised, long-term monitoring plan that may result in changes to how often someone is recommended to have these blood tests. As part of this work, they are looking for people who meet the above description to take part in a study, which aims to understand:a) How often people attend these blood tests as currently recommended (questionnaire).b) People’s views and experience of the current blood tests, and potential changes to this in the future (interview). An information sheet outlining the full details of this study can be viewed here tinyurl.com/y5tv7dfb. Please take the time to read this before deciding whether to take part.If you would like to take part, please fill out the questionnaire forms.microsoft.com/r/VVmi7.... Your answers to these questions will also be used to choose a wide range of people to talk to in the interviews.

For those members with a different condition, just flagging that this study is open to patients with other forms of IA and RD generally, not just RA. Conditions of interest specifically mentioned in the questionnaire include RA, PsA, AS (ankylosing spondylitis), Inflammatory Arthritis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s, Skin psoriasis without arthritis, and SLE. There is also an ‘other’ option, with the main focus being on rheumatology patients that take immune suppressing drugs requiring regular blood monitoring.
