RA complicated by arthritis in knees
Morning, so I have increasing pain in knees, worse on left. Diagnosed with Degenerate Oesteo-Arthritis in both knees, treatment for which is steroid injection, for time being, but ultimately will need knee replacement surgery. My question is, does anyone have tips to reduce pain & swelling & preserve

Hi all. I have Lymphodema in both my legs. I had total knee replacement 4 weeks ago, my knee is swollen and my lower leg and foot is is swollen. My skin is very dry in those areas. Obviously, I have swelling because of the surgery but also because of the Lymphoedema so decided to get back to my ritual

PD and orthopedic surgeries
I’m debating having a partial knee replacement (for patella femoral arthritis) AND/OR Morton’s neuroma surgery. I really need both, but am very concerned about not being able to exercise, the way I usually do, for at least a few months. Would it be wise to schedule both surgeries just a couple of

Total knee replacement and AF
Hi Firstly thank you to everyone who has offered their support previously since I was diagnosed with AF last November. Over the last few years I have been trying to hold off a total knee replacement. (TKR) I was walking more to strengthen my muscles to support my knee and managed to ditch the brace

Endoscopy was a bust.............
I got to the hospital fairly early for my apt. at 1.30pm and i was the second patient on the list. Dr lee came to see me and he was lovely. He has hinted that i might need a valve replacement as it is thickening quite a lot. I don't remember much about it as the sedation was working and afterwards

I’m re-posting in case anyone has any insights on these results ….
these tests were done after I had increased my ThyroGold dose from 450mg to 600mg but I have not felt any discernible improvement in my symptoms which have got worse. I had a total knee replacement last July and things seem to have gone haywire since then.

Looking for TKR advice
Hello everyone. I’m a 55 year old male who has had knee problems for the majority of my life. I think it originated from sports injuries as a schoolboy but I remember twisting it while at work when I was about 17 too. I have a long history of having treatment for knee problems including 2 or 3 arthroscopy

Min invasive Aortic valve replacement:- happy or disappointed?
I’m 67 yo, male, slightly overweight but otherwise good health but I have a severe Aortic Stenosis, that’s running at about 25% of full capacity. My only symptoms are slight breathlessness when climbing stairs. Saw a surgeon yesterday who wants to replace the valve with an animal valve, but he does not

Follow up to my last post re SDR
It's now almost 4 weeks since Mark's knee replacement. He's doing well after a small setback at the weekend. He saw our Dr a week ago to ask if he could drive. Dr told him to ask the physio. She tested him on a step, checking the force he could use on his knee and gave permission for him to drive

Post total knee replacement
Anyone who has had a total knee replacement had more pain in the hip area than the knee. Having a job to keep my knee straight at night as keep waking up every hour with tremendous pain in the hip and end up getting up and having a walk round. It's inhibiting my physio as well. It didn't help that ended
