Failed Right Wrist Ulna Resection Surgery,Fusion w/ Tendon transfer at 32
I'm new here and I would like to share about my severely eroded & fused right wrist. It took almost 8 years before I was diagnosed with R.A and it all started with a right wrist pain that got worse over the years. Finally got great health insurance and a great Orthopaedic surgeon that tried his best

Anyone else here have a joint replacement?
I’m on week 4 with 1 left to do. I have a right hip replacement. It feels really good to be exercising and not to have hip pain! Anyone else getting back into running after a joint replacement? (Just to say my surgeon has said I can run!)

Hello. New to the forum but not to OA. Thought I’d say hello and add my story.
I posted this in another thread so I apologize if you have read it already. I did not pay attention to the length of time since the last comment so that post is buried toward the bottom. I enjoy research so I hope to add some articles or links to help all of us in our daily and sometimes hourly battle

On the edge with too many decisions
Long story, some venting, need input. Some of you have followed my story of my major car accident last March. It was the other driver’s fault, but I was really hurt. So, on top of COVID-19, I was hospitalized alone, had no job, and spent 9 moths in physical therapy only to have them tell me they have

Trouble with getting initial diagnosis
Well this is my first post so if I am going on I apologise! I have been diagnosed with hypermobility when I was 48! I thought it was normal for me that I could all these party tricks that it came as a bit of a surprise. Since then I have been looking into the associated conditions and came across EDS

A glimmer of hope…
I’ve been on the IC for over 18 months now, I see a few familiar names that I remember from when I was here last. I SO miss running, not only for the physical benefits but for the mental health benefits too. I’ve been out due to osteoarthritis in my foot, I’ve got to the stage where I can’t even walk

Hi I have Rheumatoid arthritis for 46 years. I have had many joint replacements and too numerous treatments to mention, I was on Methotrexate for 20 years, but it damaged my liver, then Azathioprine for 5 years, which was no longer effective. Been on Prednisolone for last 6 months due to Covid

Hi everyone. I have struggled with my weight all my life and am a serial Weight Watchers member. I cancelled this yesterday and will start Weight Loss NHS tomorrow. I have several joint replacements and have more to come in the future so being healthy is so important to me. Between having 3 surgeries

I got a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia a few years ago and hypermobility, Brighton score 6/9 so not as bad as some though in my opinion he didn't check other places that I think there may be some hypermobility issues

Strange lump at side of toe.
Good day to you all. I wonder if anyone has seen or got anything like this lump that had come on the side of my big toe? I had a toe joint replacement there five years ago which improved things but I still get some pain there and my big toe and the one next to it have drifted over a bit. I have noticed

Hello everyone I am new here and hope to benefit from people's experience with Actemra and specifically how it affects blood values. My son was diagnosed with Adult-Onset Still's Disease (adult form of JRA) 25 years ago. He had JRA when he was 8 years old and within a year with treatment it went into

I didn't mean to upset anyone. Yes I am from the US. This term, end stage, is new to me also. I have one of the best and well known RA docs. He as everyone else can or will not give precise enough explanation (for me) of what is coming. (I want to know worst case - best case) All ra patients are

METALLOSIS AND HEART PROBLEMS
METALLOSIS: I had a metal-on-metal hip resurfacting (Smith and Nephew in Birmingham) 13 years ago and now have a high level of cobalt in my blood from friction over the years. Recent research (mainly in the USA) has shown high levels can precipitate heart problems as well as other symptoms .... neurological
