Hi everyone. I have struggled with my weight all my life and am a serial Weight Watchers member. I cancelled this yesterday and will start Weight Loss NHS tomorrow. I have several joint replacements and have more to come in the future so being healthy is so important to me. Between having 3 surgeries in one year, stopping smoking and Lockdown, I gained 2 stone. I have already lost 1 stone and struggling a bit now. Anyway, sorry for the long winded post. I hope everyone is well and has a fantastic day 😁

Good luck with it Hidden . Do you have a weight-loss method in mind if WW hasn't given you a long-term formula? There are many supportive people here going through the same process, so I hope you will settle in and find the forum to be useful. 😄

Thanks for your reply Sofajockey, am going to use the old fashioned calorie counting and choosing good healthy options. I walk as much as I can as its the only exercise my surgeons allow apart from swimming but all our pools are still closed. Like everyone else, I want to be healthy, as am not getting any younger 🤣🤣

Hi and welcome, WeeJean :)

With a history of yoyo dieting, you may like to take a look at these:

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

healthunlocked.com/api/redi...

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.

If you haven't already taken it, here's a tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best :)

Is the diet plan free or do you have to pay?

Hello and welcome to the weight loss forum. Please have a good read of the Pinned Post “Welcome Newbies”. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

This is a very large community with lots going on. May I suggest you use the webpage as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around. Take your time and follow every thread so that you know exactly what’s going on.

Here’s the link for a “Tour” of the forum ,if you haven’t already taken it.

If you are following the NHS plan please check your BMI on the NHS site and obtain the correct amount of calories for you.

healthunlocked.com/api/redi...

The 12 week NHS Weight Loss plan is free.

The Daily Diary and the Weekly Weigh ins are very good places to begin. You will find the DD and WI in the Pinned Posts under “Events”

I find the Daily Diary a very good place to share my plans and get inspiration from other members, too. Once the day’s food is written down I’m far more likely to stay on track.

The key to success is participation, we are all on the same journey.

If you can’t find something just shout, there’s usually someone around.

I hope to “see” you around, Good Luck.🍀😉
