After 7 years of denial, I finally accept that I have IBS-D. My stomach isn't needy, dramatic, I have an intestinal condition that causes me extreme pain and bad diarrhoea sometimes for weeks! I am so glad I found this forum, I do not feel so "alone" in this anymore. I wanted so desperately to be healthy, to not have my body fight me, but I guess it isn't all bad to know it really isn't life-threatening, just extremely inconveniencing.
I recently started taking Mebeverine and Acidophillus supplements after a 3-week flare up and I am feeling much better. I hope this streak lasts.

I was diagnosed in 2013 (I'd had the pain and symptoms for 6 years then). I run a barium enema, stool, urine, blood tests. I did an ultra sound too. They were all clean and didn't show any anomalies, so the diagnosis was made from elimination (that's what she said). Thanks for asking.
