Hi, I’ve been given some mebeverine from the doctors for IBS, can anyone help me if this will help with constipation and going the toilet more regularly? Can anyone share personal experiences , that would be appreciated😊

Does it definitely help with constipation as I’ve read that people seem to experience more constipation when talking the tablets?

Perhaps have a look at the Low Fodmap diet? It seems to help some people with IBS. It’s helped me to limit my constipation.

Hello Molly1233 you will be pleased to know that taking 2 turmeric capsules a day have been shown to benefit people with IBS trials were done on humans in 2015 that showed it reduced cramp & inflammation which is 2 of the most common effects of IBS, as a person that takes herbal remedies I have helped a lot of friends who have arthritis I put them on turmeric capsules & they were able to go bowling again after taking capsules for two weeks, I myself take Turmeric daily to help my immune system as I have a compromised spinal cord, I hope you buy some Capsules I know that most Lloyds chemists sell a tub of 200 for £9.99

Turmeric increases the chances of a gall bladder attack if you have or think you have gall stones don't take it.

It slows the bowel but helps with the pain.

Deflatine is excellent for wind, Dyhidrocodine is a controlled drug so many people will not be prescribed it.
