Undiagnosed - suffering for at least 15 years, feeling frustrated

Hi everybody

I'm currently awaiting a gynaecology appointment in October after suffering for over half of my life. Feeling particularly frustrated today. Bloating is one of my most persistent symptoms, alongside pain, and after having been so distended for 3 days and in pain, feeling nauseous and being sick, I just felt like I had to do something. Got an appointment at urgent care to be told it sounds like IBS, people with endometriosis don't bloat and theres nothing that can be done for me as mebeverine and buscopan dont work and codeine would constipate me (which I don't want). I was in there for less than 5 minutes.

I'm severely anaemic, have just had to have my fourth set of iron infusions and I'm under gastro again after previously having a colonoscopy and endoscopy (clear beyond a hiatus hernia). I've now got to go back for the same tests because I'm so anaemic again and the tests were in 2014. They don't really seem to actually be concerned about my other symptoms or how they affect my life.

I bloat for minutes/hours/days/weeks at a time (more recently, days and weeks seem.to be more common). I get a lot of pain and typical IBS symptoms between constipation/diarrhoea. The only time these symptoms have ever disappeared was during pregnancy and when I wasnt menstruating whilst breastfeeding. As soon as I started my periods again, so did the symptoms.

It took us almost 2 years to conceive but I didn't worry about that as I thought it was coming off the injection.

All my symptoms mirror what I have read about endometriosis except I don't have particularly heavy periods- although they can be and do vary vastly month to month. My symptoms are also worse the week/10 days before, during and after my period.

Any advice? Comments?

Really frustrated and fed up.

Thanks.

Have you asked for a diagnosis laperoscopy from your gyne I saw 3 and was fobbed off every time until when I saw the 4th gyne I wrote everything down from the painful intercourse to the constant bloating constipation and sometimes soft bowel movements and very painful periods pain in back, legs and all over the stomach daily and had to say to her do you think it could be endo as well as my adeno she then said I could do a lap for you 🙄 I'd write everything down and hand her it that's all I did she put me in for the lap and ablation for the adeno with biopsy also, but she couldn't let me go without throwing more tablets at me saying try the pill back to back I said I'd try just to get out of there, I've been wanting since may so I'd get in there soon as poss because there's a long waiting list, hope you feel a bit better today, this living in pain lark is not for me 🙁 xx

Thank you so much. I only saw gynae yesterday, for the first time! I have to keep a diary for 4 months and then she will consider laparoscopy x
