Isosorbide mononitrate

HiI'm on Isosorbide 40mg twice a day, I have been taking one at 6:45Am and the other at 17:30 pm is this the correct way to space them out?

After 2 weeks I was completely off it and was advised to wean off the Isosorbide Mononitrate. A further 2 weeks later I weaned off the Isosorbide Mononitrate but have been feeling odd since. I get a mild chest pain (not like I did initially) and a pain down my left arm and hand.

Hi I was taking Isosorbide mononitrate 50mg modified-release capsules until last week when the dose was increased to 60mg (starting to use GTN spray to counter chest pains) So up until this point everything is good.

Hi, I've been taking Isosorbide Mononitrate (AKA Elantan 25mg) for about 5-6 weeks now. My cardiologist put me on them after getting angina 5 months after triple bypass (in March) and thinks it's microvascular blockages.

I am currently on, Ezetimibe 10mg x 1 Isosorbide mononitrate 60mg x 1 Famotadine 20mg x 1 Tildiem retard 90mg x 2 Aspirin 75mg x 1 Rosuvastatin 5mg x 1 Amlodipine 5mg x 1 I have just been told to stop the Amlodipine as I had awful side affects.

I contacted the secretary of my consultant and consultant wrote to my GP suggesting adding Isosorbide Mononitrate 30MR. I went to see my GP to discuss this. I have low blood pressure and along with Bisoperol l take Topiramate for complex migraines which both lower my blood pressure even more.

Good evening everyone, I hope you are all keeping well.I was prescribed the above medication, but after 2 days had to stop taking it due to stomach, and back/kidney pain. I could tolerate the headache, and tiredness, but not the gut pain. I do have pancreas problems, so I'm wondering if it interfered

Is there anything stronger for pain relief of headaches from isosorbide mononitrate? I’ve tried aspirin and paracetamol, but they haven’t helped much. Just wondering whether it is worth contacting specialist or not.

Has anyone been given isosorbide Mononitrate and bisoprolol for Angina. Are there side effects.

Prescribed isosorbide mononitrate 20mg twice daily for tightness and mild chest pain. Try to take short walks 4/5 times a week but feel that I'm getting worse. 10 mins on flat today and tightness in chest/back & shoulders.

I was only taking it for 2 weeks) Saw my GP yesterday & he straightaway said 'angina' symptoms & has put me on 25mg Atenolol & 25mg of Isosorbide mononitrate. Does anyone else take this Isosorbide monohydrate?

I finally saw a consultant about the AFib in May 2023 and was put on Isosorbide Mononitrate due to chest pains on exertion. In August 2023 I had a successful cardioversion and was back into sinus rhythm for 8 months. Last week I caught another cold and guess what? Back into AFib again.

I have been advised by my GP to take isosorbide mononitrate. After looking at the side effects I am hesitant to take it, as they would seem only to make matters worse. Has anybody had any experience of taking this.

I’m also on loads of medication including Nicorandil and isosorbide mononitrate.

Meds i am on are -atorvastatin, bisoprolol, citalopram, co-codamol, isosorbide mononitrate, lansoprazole, clopidogrel, asprin, Ramipril. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Many thanks Mark 🤗

Roll on to early this year when he was quite wheezy, SVD was mentioned and Isosorbide mononitrate was added to his cocktail of heart meds. He says he feels a lot better since starting them but I still feel he's struggling.

Isosorbide Mononitrate (1 tablet a day) and the other one to be took last thing at night Atorvastatin 40 mg (1 tablet) night time. Just in case my other tablets daily has anything to above they are Bisoprolo fumarate 1.25 mg day Omeprazole 20 mg (1 a day).

Hi Everyone. I finally started to take the half tablet last Monday. I've had a pretty bad week of side effects. But I haven't had any chest pain. It's too early to tell if the tablet is doing the trick. But I do wonder if I would benefit from increasing to the full dose of 60mg and whether doing that

I’ve medication now - on lowest dosage of Elantan - an isosorbide mononitrate, aspirin And now on statins as the only indication apart from the MPI scan is high cholesterol coming in at 7.5 . I’m desperate to return to activity as it’s what keeps me together on every level .
