isosorbide mononitrate

My chemist is having problems getting my prescription for isosorbide mononitrate. I may have to take a different drug that does the same. It appears there are several and I was wondering what experiences you have had. I look forward to your experiences and views.

Over the many years I have been taking Isosorbide mononitrate, I have been given many different brands of the medication. All the brands I have taken all seem to be equally affective.

My pharmacist has had the same problem. I am prescribed the brand Monomil and he has substituted Chemydur. I have not noticed any difference

I keep getting different brands of Isosorbide Mononitrate. They all work in the same way and have caused no problems whilst taking them.

Is your prescription for a specific brand of the medication? I had the same problem until the GP finally agreed to change the prescription to generic. I haven't had any problems with side effects.
