I have been prescribed isosorbide mononitrate 25mg for angina symptoms. I have heart failure and AF.
Would like to hear what experience you have with this drug. Early days but have a headache which my cardiologist says is common but subsides with longer use. I hope so.

Good morning, I was originally on 25mg of Isosorbide mononitrate, but went down to 10mg but it wasn't enough to control my angina which I was experiencing after a Minoca heart attack. I did get a small headache at first, and a little bit tired, but I'm fine with it. I hope this helps. Best wishes.
I was put on isosorbide mononitrate before it turned out I needed a triple bypass. Headaches to start off with but felt great once they went after a couple of weeks. It dilates blood vessels so more gets through. BTW I'm not suggesting you are heading for OHS, it's just the way things worked out for me!
Hello Nanatotwo, I have been taking this drug for about a year for vasospastic angina. I experienced headaches at first for about a couple of weeks. I started on a low dose but now take 100 mg per day slow release. It has helped my angina.
