I'm after some information please. I take the above meds but now my chemist is having problems due to company closure. So now I'm having to take 10mg x 3 twice a day. I'm seeing a GP on Friday and was wondering if any one takes a alternative and there experiences. As I'm going to request an alternative because what with other medication I'm sure I've started rattling.😉 Thank you.🤗

Thank you for your reply. I'm am in the UK. The shortage is due to the closure of the Tavi company in Wales who produced them. There Head quarters are in California, as for covid it seems it's the reason for everything. Personally I don't buy it. It's a easy excuse for anything that can't be fixed. I hope you have a Happy Christmas and New Year. Fingers crossed you don't have any issues with your medication.🤶🤗

Hi I'm on 30mg one in the morning one in the afternoon. The supplier has closed there uk company, eventually I presume the stocks will end. I know my chemist has tried several different stockists and are unable to get them. 🤗

Just looked at my new tablets. A different supplier like milkfairy my g.p. Doesn't specify any particular brand. Seem to get what's available. Luckily I seem to be ok on whatever is given me.

There are several companies that manufacture isosorbide mononitrate.

I take various doses according to my symptoms. In the summer I take 30mgs, in the winter 120mgs as I am more symptomatic because of the cold.

I am dispensed 60 mg tablets which are scored, so I just break the tablet in half when I need to take 30mgs.

My prescription is written by my GP that allows any brand of Isosorbide mononitrate to be dispensed by my Pharmacist.

In the UK and Europe there have been ongoing problems of various medications not being available.

My Pharmacist has had problems obtaining isosorbide mononitrate, nicorandil and Tildiem retard.

My hospital has provided me with an extra back up supply of medication as I can't run out of medication.
