Negative HLA-B27
(Dr put me on
iron
pills which I've been taking the last month hence the increase). Question is: negative HLA-B27 is "good" in that unlikely to be AS but to me it's slightly frustrating as jone the wiser still. Got 1st appt with rheumatologist on August 7th so hoping he can shed some light.

chilblanes in summer? Help
I went to the GP for it and he gave me
iron
tablets before I even got a blood test. I’ve been taking them for a couple of months now but I’m still getting chilblanes. I’d been taking
iron
pills for nearly three weeks by the time my blood test was done.

Can Iron tablets trigger AF?
The GP has just started me on
iron
pills (Ferrous Fumarate 210 mg) for
iron
deficiency. I took the second tablet this morning and (as an overthinker) I realised my episode of AF coincided with taking my first
iron
table.

Low iron in pregnancy; Spatone recommended - what was tested?
I don’t know much about
iron
but from this site I have learned that a full
iron
panel consists of four elements. It looks like my daughter has had one element tested. Is that sufficient? Is Spatone the NHS go to remedy? Would it be recommended here on the basis of one test reading of 109?

can thyroid disease cause sore throat, throast discomfort and tension in neck/face?
As my blood results were in normal ranges (expect B12, D, ferratin,
iron
and folic acid which were all low), my GP said I can have a follow up in the future and gave me vitamin supplements. I was still concerned so saw a ENT specialist privately.

My plan is to increase my
iron
intake by using
Iron
Bisglycinate (which I hope will avoid constipation). The question is what is the correct dose.

2 year old Toddler with RLS
His initial ferritin level was 3, after 8 months of daily
iron
is now 28. His
iron

Where can I get my mineral levels tested?
I test bloods, including vitamins and
iron
, regularly. But I have no idea what my zinc and magnesium etc. levels are. Is there a home test kit I can use that doesn't cost the earth?

NHS 'guidelines' preventing my GP prescribing for hypothyroidism - help please!
was adamant that my thyroid was functioning correctly and said unable to prescribe due to NHS parameters but would test my thyroid and
iron
and liver etc in 3 months as it would be too dangerous to begin medication in any case.

Continued success with Vitamin B1
I still take a multivitamin, a vitamin d and a magnesium tablet on a morning as well as 64mg of
iron
on an evening before bed. I did also sometimes use a magnesium spray but have not needed to for a good month or so.

GP knew less than I did about RLS :’-(
She seemed to think
iron
wouldn’t help as I’m not anemic. I’m going to buy
iron
supplements anyway and paracetamol and codeine tablets as it’s all getting too much. She’s referring me to a neurologist but that’ll take months. I feel so disappointed. She apologised for not knowing much about it.

Your thyroid and iron deficiency stories, please
Surely just a coincidence that it’s women who experience lower
iron
levels, as a rule. Surely). MCHC, transferrin, serum
iron
etc all out of whack, too. The alarming things are: a) I can’t take oral
iron
supplements at all.

The other B vitamins
So far my daughter and I have tested B12, Folate, Vit D,
Iron
Panel, Thyroid antibodies, CRP. Is this something people here generally do as a belt and braces approach when the picture is very unclear and you need to rule stuff out?
