Pregabalin and Weight Gain
My referral to Leicester Sleep Clinic resulted in being told to take a multivitamin with
iron
for the rest of my life and have regular blood tests. No infusion offered despite bringing Ayo Algorithm with me as evidence. I have noticed rapid weight gain even on this low dosage.

3rd attempt…. for a good reason!I have added important facts.
If you are one, then great, get on with
iron
plus any adjunctive treatment that might be required if
iron
doesn’t remove symptoms completely .If the person is one of the 40% non-responders, then don’t waste time taking oral
iron
for years and years pointlessly.

Hashimotos, low TSH, normal t4, Feeling so ill
Vit B12: pernicious anemia I take hydroxycobalamin IM injections so they don't test for that any more, last 10 years ( 10 with treatment, 17 without as my GP just lied to me and said everything was ok)
Iron
/ ferritin: regularly deficient so they have me on tiny
iron
tablets for the last 3 years, last

What vitamin supplements to take alongside B12 injections?
I've had several further blood tests and vitamin D and
iron
deficiencies have been identified (
iron
levels look to have dropped after B12 injections started). So I'm currently on vitamin D3 800IU once a day and ferrous fumarate 210mg 3 times a day.

Am I on enough thyroid medication for my weight
Please note I have Lupus and kidney issues and have been advised to keep D levels on a maintenance dose only as can cause stones which I am prone to - and also ferritin - I do not get on with
iron
- have good diet and taking B12 and Vitamin C - I am nutritionally aware and consider I am only alive today

when micronutrients are deficient aka co-factors will the continuation of B12 IM self-inject really help me?
I have a heme doc bc my cbc results always are low plus bc of
iron
deficiency I have had
iron
infusions. I was finally dx with CeD and lactose intolerant in May 2023 by a GI who finally cared about my well being.

Oral Iron supplements, doing it wrong!
36 milligrams of ferrous bisglysinate only contains 7.2 milligrams of elemental
iron
. It is no where near enough for me to keep my ferritin up. The recommendation is 65 milligrams of elemental
iron
. The RDA for
iron
is 8 milligrams.

And also an
iron
supplement and test again in 12 weeks. **I’ve seen the oral
iron
spray and wondered if that would be any good/ok as the vit d spray seems to be working for me? Then the medi gp said “Your tsh has reduced to 0.187, whilst your T3 and thyroxine are stable.

Had an
Iron
Ferritin test last year of 103. I am due for a yearly physical with MD on Jan2 and thinking of asking for another
iron
test. I know y’all are busy with more serious cases but was wondering if you could educate me with your thoughts and opinions. Thank you.

Update on first visit with Neurologist
I am to keep taking the
iron
supplement. We discussed the rate to coming off pramipexole, and she said that I would need trial and error to find the level that worked for me.
