Meanwhile I'm taking oral
iron
as my ferritin level is low at 49 ng/ml with a view to getting an
iron
infusion if it is not up to 100 ng/ml in 3 months time. I just wonder do I just go with it and trust him to get some sleep??? 🙄 As always, would welcome any views, especially on the DA's x

PA/b12 and ferratin
He said he could put me on an
iron
protocol. Have you heard of this, this is the first offer of help I have had, he said my ferritin levels were at 35 and the lowest they had been for several years, when I ask my G.P he always says they are fine, but I know they are wrong.

So far I’ve avoided medication, instead taking
iron
and magnesium and exercise. My RLS comes every night but has gotten much worse in the recent past (hoping that my ion has dropped and this is the reason ) but I don’t think so.

Oral Iron supplements, doing it wrong!
36 milligrams of ferrous bisglysinate only contains 7.2 milligrams of elemental
iron
. It is no where near enough for me to keep my ferritin up. The recommendation is 65 milligrams of elemental
iron
. The RDA for
iron
is 8 milligrams.

when micronutrients are deficient aka co-factors will the continuation of B12 IM self-inject really help me?
I have a heme doc bc my cbc results always are low plus bc of
iron
deficiency I have had
iron
infusions. I was finally dx with CeD and lactose intolerant in May 2023 by a GI who finally cared about my well being.

RLS: nutrition matters, n = 1
I spent 6 weeks on a carnivore diet, feeling GREAT, which probably had the most effect by significantly raising my historically dismal ferritin and
iron
levels. Began tapering my meds after the first two weeks and was 100% drug free before the 6 weeks were up.

Advice after possible Covid
For example, one thing I heard was that Covid depletes our
iron
levels. I heard somewhere VitB3 helps too. Thanks!

Mosquito bites and low iron
Will find out today if my
iron
level any better but what I will say is the restless leg syndrome starting to ease so maybe it was lack of
iron
after all. I slept the whole day yesterday first sleep I've had in weeks so things slowly getting better.

High TSH, increasing TPO antibodies, latest results!
I'm really fed up with the symptoms now, fatigue, feeling cold, hair falling out like crazy, my throat always feeling like something is blocking it.....and I'm worried she will do nothing or just prescribe me
iron
tablets (test also showed I'm anemic). Thanks in advance.

What vitamin supplements to take alongside B12 injections?
I've had several further blood tests and vitamin D and
iron
deficiencies have been identified (
iron
levels look to have dropped after B12 injections started). So I'm currently on vitamin D3 800IU once a day and ferrous fumarate 210mg 3 times a day.

I eat pumpkin seeds every day and regularly eat
iron
rich veggies so I don't understand where I'm going wrong. I 100% have symptoms of low
iron
all the time... Thanks so much for any feedback. GTS

Pregabalin and Weight Gain
My referral to Leicester Sleep Clinic resulted in being told to take a multivitamin with
iron
for the rest of my life and have regular blood tests. No infusion offered despite bringing Ayo Algorithm with me as evidence. I have noticed rapid weight gain even on this low dosage.

TSH levels lowered after iodine spike - advice on next steps needed
Just to state I have had various blood tests and they are all optimal (cholestral, Vitamin D,
Iron
, Vitamin B's, Ferretin, anemia and many more) I am vegetarian and always have been, but I approach every meal as a science experiment so haven't had any deficiencies.

Transitioning from NDT to T3 (slowly) - anyone done this? Or combines NDT with t3?
My vits are all optimal as recommended on here including midrange ferritin (after
iron
IV). My cortisol in saliva is low normal on 2 out of 5 points a day, while my blood serum cortisol is high in range.
