Third clinic visit, third different consultant
I discussed my low ferritin levels with him and my concerns that my symptoms of itching and now restless legs may be due to low
iron
levels.

So many questions ??
Should I have stopped Omeprazole and started
iron
at the same time or was that too much to expect of my poor stomach? Given my results, is 20mg of Gentle
Iron
enough and if so, should I take 40mg alternate nights? Is there anything that can lessen the impact on my stomach?

Recovery from AV Fistula Surgery
Fortunately, there are outside stairs with two
iron
banisters. But inside, the banister is on the left. The side my arm is that I cannot lean on. Hopefully, a friend is coming to put a second railing in. We should have thought of this.

Latest appointment update…..ET investigation
I must admit I always thought you had to be actually Anaemic to affect your platelets but apparently in some cases
Iron
deficiency without anaemia alone can do this….

Iron metabolism in RLS : iron transporter ferroportin & Magnesium Malate
Role of

Iron
levels are likely fine. Problem is with
iron
metabolism. I’m no longer a proponent of dopamine agonists. I think they are akin to flogging a tired old horse.

blue fingers when in hot bath??
Has anyone else had this? It happen to my toes when I was in the shower the other day too. I don’t know if it’s Raynauds or my low ferritin/anemia or what. About to go for a colonoscopy this week for the anemia and a high positive FIT test but I can’t see it being linked to that.

RLS and iron metabolism and treating with dopamine agonists causes dopamine burnout
and therefore adequate
iron
in the brain whereas those with PD and RLS have dysfunctional
iron
metabolism and too little
iron
in their brain.)

Returning to work with exhaustion
I've started taking vitamins containing B12, and I also take
iron
tablets. I'm just so anxious and worried about how I'm going to manage 12 hour shifts at work. Especially as I work full time so do 33/44 a week. I've voiced my concerns to work, my partner & a couple of friends.

New Way to Get More Iron
You have to use this about 3-6 months to restore your
iron
supplies. I am looking forward to seeing my doctor after my next blood test, to see if the
iron
levels have changed.

Elevated liver enzymes
It's really annoying doing everything right and still getting worse 😭 Do you think that
iron
supplements can be the cause? Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks for reading this long post :)
