Has anyone else had this? It happen to my toes when I was in the shower the other day too.
I don’t know if it’s Raynauds or my low ferritin/anemia or what. About to go for a colonoscopy this week for the anemia and a high positive FIT test but I can’t see it being linked to that.

looks like Raynaud’s to me. I don’t get blue I get white apart from toes sometimes turn blue. I did read that blue fingers are more common with scleroderma but I have scleroderma and for me it’s usually white. Could the prospect of colonoscopy be making you stressed and this is triggering Raynaud’s?
Maybe, I don’t feel stressed about it on a conscious level, but who knows what the subconscious can do to us? I’m looking at it as a chance to get answers and hopefully fix my anemia.
I definitely get worse Raynauds symptoms when I’m stressed though.
It’s just baffling me why they would go from normal to blue after being in the bath for a bit.
I agree with comments above, I think we are so used to being even slightly cold it actually feels “normal” so if we get in a warm bath or shower we react. My fingers go blue in a warm shower too.
Good luck with your investigations I hope you get some answers . I was finally diagnosed with pernicious anaemia after a whole load of horrible symptoms so now having 3 monthly B12 injections. I think it’s worth thinking about if you have odd symptoms such as numbness and fatigue (we’re used to that too with scleroderma and its various overlaps!)
Some go straight to blue, others only to white and red. I first noticed Raynaud’s in my toes when clambering into a hot bath. I assume it’s the contrast in temperature. It’s generally my palm and dorsal hands and feet which turn blue but we are all different - there are no rules with Raynaud’s - whether it’s primary or secondary. Mine used to be more water temp related but these days it’s just a slight breeze in summer or waking up and getting out of bed in the winter
I think if I got in the bath when I was very cold and my fingers were white from Reynaud's they might go blue like that. You know, when you're warming up so much that it's painful.
Yes I often get this. My fingers and toes and, funnily enough, knees, are often cold without me realising (we have a cold house, particularly upstairs) and are white when I get in, they then turn classic Raynauds blue in a bath or shower and the blue should turn pink after a few minutes in the hot water. If they are cold enough to get 'hot aches' when warming up I notice they are cold and painful beforehand and I would try and warm them gently/slowly to get through that stage before getting in the hot bath.
Maybe I just hadn’t noticed that they were white before I got in.
I sit in my bath as it fills (think frog in a pan on a stove) so I’d have thought that would have warmed my core up nicely.
I use a heat pack around my middle (it’s amazing 5 minutes charge gives about 4 hours heat) to keep my core warm and that actually seems to help more than gloves in the house - our house is cold too 😊
Hi. Defo looks like raynauds, happens to me when i go from having cold hands and straight into a hot shower , usually my raynauds is triggered by cold and being caught in the rain but occasionally it's the switch from cold to hot too quickly.
